Sad, but We don't have recycling bins here (i live in the suburbs). I was thinking about petition or something, but I think people will say “there are more important things”. I can't understand but people in other cities are saying They don't want recycling bins, because it won't look aestethically (!!! They were saying the same thing about ramps for disabled People!!). And even mayor said it!
About other things – well, I'm not picking up the Flowers. I told my granny I won't help with trimming/weeding. You know, I'd feel sad. Some people say I should cut George's (my crassula :3) leaves – I can't imagine that! However, when i see Tree's branch (i mean, sometimes people break branchs off *sigh*) I'm taking flowers and giving it to my mom or someone else, but it isn't bad, is it? And I was picking up trashes (You even don't want to know what's people's reaction… *rolling eyes*), but I'm not doing it lately (because I'm not going outside since holidays' begun).
I'm also saying to my cousins and friends to stop destroying Planet by dropping litter.
Mr E., don't get me wrong (my curiosity is present from Mother Nature )… why are You asking?

Since discovering this site my habits have changed. I do not immediately discard every weed I find in my garden. When I do need to pull weeds in order to save another plant, I compost them. I have started exploring different religions to find one that is closer in tune with the earth and more suited to my beliefs, rather than practicing my upbringing of Roman Catholicism. Yes, I am trying to do my part in purifying the earth because of your help.
Please keep in mind that I do not intend to offend you or your efforts, but I believe honesty is what you seek, so I will tell you my honest opinion. I have changed and many people here have changed and you have impacted our lives, and I am thankful for this. However some people are imprudent, and they do not see what humans are doing to our earth. It is horrifying, yet harshly, it is the truth. I do not label these people as being cruel, but I suppose they are too devoted to what they have been taught; they cannot fathom the possibility that they are not the only beings on the earth, and perhaps the cannot see the greater picture. Some like many on this site can see that the earth is being neglected and that action is necessary. I suppose then, that it is our job to make an impact on others lives, who can see beyond what they are taught and grasp the greater goal beyond their life. There is much more to be done, even so, by impacting just a few lives, Mr. E., I sincerely hope that the many others will soon follow.
I appreciate your cause and motivation, and I thank you for helping.
Emily

i'll have to say, knowing so much more about the plants, i would think about the feeling of the tree each time i pass one. When taking out Weeds, i did it because my mom told me to, i would say i'm sorry through out the whole process or at least hope that they forgive me and Then i would chat to the plants which i get no reply from, but i do have to say, it's isn't true that i did not have a reply, i do sometimes feel weird feeling like they pay attention when i talk to them, like a curious feeling from them, but who knows, i suck at understanding feeling.
With me been so young, i really can't do much, my family won't even listen to me when i tell them we have to recycle the AA batteries so that we do not harm the earth because what we do was throw it in the trash. I even try to tell my mother to recycle papers so that we can save trees. But hell, they don't even listen to me. Just wait till i can drive.
But so far i do think more of mother earth and the trees, i always try to make connect when i am near a tree, but i never really success. At least i got my mom to get flowers in the yard for the butterfly and the bees, but those flowers ain't blossoming. I have even take a more kinder feeling toward the insects and animals although i still do enjoy scaring the chickens. I really do avoid killing insects other then cockroach, but i say sorry after killing them, and ask them to move on. I am starting to thanks the foods on my plate, thanks the animals and the plants every time.
This site have been a big part in getting me to know more of the environment around me and respecting and knowing that these beauty i see ain't just forms i see but beings with feeling. This site had teach me things i can't put into words at the moment, just that it teaches me so much. it taught me how to love other things that ain't humans, it cause me to really question human daily life, not much have been said but it's like i understand so much. This site just teach me so much that nothing can measure it.
so, yes, Mr.E you and susan and natalie have make a impact. Even though i can't recycle a big amount of materials, i'm taking slow step. God bless you all. May the angel watch over us all.

Well we recycle and we also use eco-friendly stuff. We try to reuse paperbags and plastic bags ( the ziplocks) . We also try to reuse bottles or clean them out and keep them.

Hi Natalie, although i have only recently joined as a member i have been visiting this site for two months. In that time i have most certaintly changed my habits. i always recycled since i was ten or so. We have to in ireland (thankfully) and there were huge information drives when i was in school to make us aware of recycling. i have always picked up litter and hate to see beauty spots damaged by idiots who leave thier rubbish lying around. However this site, Mr E yourself , Lisa and all of the other members have influenced me in the following ways. i now do not kill insects/ snaills or any other creatures that do damage to my plants or flowers. i simply capture remove them to an area of scrubland near where i live. i do not get rid of every weed that pops up and now replant many wildflowers in pots if they threaten to take over my herb garden. i dont feel like a nut when i talk to my seedlings trees flowers, and so now do it with great frequency and a happy heart. Although i dont force these new beliefs on anyone else, people close to me have noticed and have started removing insects to somewhere else instead of killing them.
So thank you to you all for this. Danu

Danu, that makes me smile and touches my heart! The insects are the “Little Ones” that are so full of life and joy, and deserve the right to that life until they're short time on Earth is complete, and their little souls move on to Light and Love.
Ta and Dakota, Danu and everyone, you are all awesome!! (((huggs)))
you guys will be happy to know that I finally ordered monarch butterfly larvea from this organization that is trying to rebuild their population back. The shipment is due the first week of August, so i will be having a little caterpillar nursery set up with plenty of milkweed leaves
Mr. E, I feel bad with our swimming pool as when I'm not there, a bumblebee or other bug doesnt make it out of the pool alive-.. Otherwise, we try to scoop them out of the pool with the skimmer before they drown. What I do is pray for them to make it , and pray for the deceased ones so that their little souls can cross over
love
Lisa

OMy famly are insane about heling the earth. We recycle my dad reuses wine bottles we buy to make his own. At the end of every year we take our Bottles we collected from parties and take the to a proccesing center that melts down the glass, plastic and metal to make new bottles. we don't leave our chargers plugged in when not in use. We have a garden for vegatables a fig tree tons of bushes and we got more trees in our front yard in the whole town.
