Crystals, by their very nature–being part of the earth–resonate with most beings from the fae realm.  Since the fae live closer to the earth than humanity does, their ability to perceive the energy within crystals is much stronger. Crystals can be used to generate power, focus power and hold important information, among other things.   

You asked which types of crystals attract the fae – I think having anything from nature is a great attracter but we tend to have a lot of quartz crystals around.  We use them to amplify energy so that any fae present will have an easier time communicating with us through the veil, sort of like a signal booster.  We also use quartz to focus our energies when we are trying to achieve something in particular.

For you, since you have no exerience working with crystals,  I would suggest that you energize/cleanse your crystals in the sun for a day, then choose some of your favorites and place them near you when you want to work with the fae.   Holding one while meditating can also boost your energy and help you make a  stronger connection.  You can start out by surrounding yourself in a  protective white light and visualizing yourself in a favorite place in nature.  Call out to whatever type of fae you feel a kinship with and ask them to connect with you.  Be sure to state that you are only inviting those who have good intentions, all others are forbidden to connect with you.  Then I would just see what happens, keep an open mind, and try not to discredit anything that you experience as "just your imagination."  Meditation can be a real doorway into the fae realm.

Very interesting dream, it sounds like a dragon connection, maybe.  Was it a clear stone or more like aventurine.? Mr E used to talk about us using a green quartz but I think the one he was talking about was clear.

@ Natalie Lynn: Thank you so much for the information! I will have to clense my crystals either today or tomorrow, is there a particular time that thay have to be outside in the sun? Hours wise I mean, not what time of day :)

@ stellar: Thank you for your infomation too! Wow, that is a very interesting dream! I don't know what the green crystal is, it sounds very beautiful though! You could try using clear quartz and see in the fae come more easily to you, then when you find out what the other crystal is you could try that too, that might help you comunicate with the fae better then you can now, maybe…

There are a few crystals to attract angels :

 angelite, amethyst flowers, aquamarine, blue lace agate, celestite, danburite, moonstone, morganite, muscovite, selenite

Perhaps these can also attract fae?

One can also use these to channel fae :

apophyllite, blue calcite, copper, moldavite, meteorites, kyanite, quartz, yellow calcite

For working with fae , in dreams, these could really help :

herkimer diamonds, moldavite, amethyst, rose quartz, jade, clear quartz,
citrine, jade, kyanite, labradorite, lapis lazuli, lepidolite, nebula
stone, opal, prehnite, diaspor, red jasper, marble, pyrite, smokey
quartz, ruby, tektites

For medatiting with fae :

amethyst, ametrine, aqua aura, aquamarine, azurite, celestite,
chrysoprase, clear quartz, chrysocolla, dumortierite (blue quartz),
flourite, iolite, kunzite, kyanite, labradorite, lapis, prehnite, sea
shells, selenite, snow quartz, sugilite, topaz, tsavorite, yellow

For contacting spirits :

These may not seem to be related with fae, but fae are probably attracted to any crystals with strong energies, so..

There is also white fairy quartz, which may help..

aw, man. i used to have a lot of crystals when i was younger, but i lost most of them..but i did manage to save one: my favorite tiger's eye stone, and i was wondering if this could be used to attract fae, and communicate with them?

OH! how I love crystals! I just got green flourite and chi healing energy crystals the other day! but I believe ALL crystals attract fae especially gnomes! but clear quartz is the best!

I have found a crystal called a Staurolite,also called a" fairy wish stone",considered to be good luck.Hey you think a fairy might like it or be attracted to it?Its a pretty brown crisscross shaped crystal structure.Celestite is a blueish peaceful crystal good fer angels ive heard too.Spirit quartz is very pretty and enlightening .Have little rock collection myself.I saw fairies have light out them and if they are light beings i would guess light refracting crystals might do something.
