Um, I really want to make a faery garden, but I'm afraid my dogs will dig it up and eat the plants in it. What can I do to prevent this? I was going to try red pepper powder, but I'm not sure if the fae will be attracted then. What should I do?

I would not worry about the dogs – you can try the red pepper powder on the outskirts part of the garden's edge- — just dont put it Inside the garden!
you can also do what I did with our puppy when I first started the faery's garden here! you can clip some dead thorny branches from old rose bushes and line them alongside of your garden. — the Dogs won't want to walk over the thorns.
You can also ask the pixies to keep your dogs away from the faery garden- but make sure to let the pixies know that this garden is every bit as much for them as for all faery. Make sure to have a special spot in the garden just for the pixies. Pixies are known to minister to housepets and animals, so they may be able to get your dogs to stay away from this garden — as long as they know this garden is for THEM as well as the other faery. :-)
Seems my dogs don't go into the faery garden here any longer, but our one dog DOES go into my mothers veggie garden now…lol!

Well, I'm not sure if my dogs would ignore the thorn thing. Especcially my border collie. She goes out in the field all the time, and she usally walks right through thorns. And my other dog, he would probably also pee on the garden, considering he pees on a lot of stuff. This is frustrating! Is there anything I could try to keep hm from peeing on the garden? Uhhh. Stupid dog!

You could always try and ask your dog not to go near it. Mr E once told me to create a thought bubble of what you want to tell your pet and then imaging it dropping down into their heads. I tried it with a husky once, he started to understand after awhile!

Well if you let the dogs know that that place is only for the fae, they might ( might) back off. Just try telling them in your mind/ orally to make them understand that they should'nt go there.

I'll try these suggestions guys. But, are dogs that intelligent? I didn't even know my dog could understand what I was saying, wow this means that when I'm talking to my dog, he might actually know what I'm saying. See, you learn something new everyday!

My mom and dad get mad if I even bring in dirt, so that option is a no-go.

Sometimes animals learn what certain words mean (like their name, for example), and most dogs are certainly intelligent enough to do that. But my experience is that mainly animals think in terms of whole concepts and ideas, which they can pick up telepathically from us when we are talking to them.
For example, if you said to a dog, "Bad dog! Don't go in the flower garden!" the dog might pick up something like:
[human=angry/disapproval to self] + [flower garden = offlimits territory]
Of course, whether the dog cares about your opinion or not is a different story. ;) But anyway, knowing how they think might help you when you try to communicate. :)

Good you perhaps fence it off? I have been wanting to do the same, but my dogs have been one of the problems as well. Or perhaps put it in an area of your yard they are unable to access? Good luck!

The only problem is, my dogs have access to pretty much everything in my yard. I mean, they can even go into the pasture if they want too. I think I should try pepper powder in a small test area, just to see if they would did the weed up even though the pepper was there. Best of luck to you too!
