Um, I made a fairy house out of tissue boxes for the fairy boy I've seen. Is this okay?

Defiinitely!     It sounds perfect for a place to relax inside a humans' home :-)

Good! I've already put some candy inside, so now, I'm waiting to see what will happen. I've also started to put up some of the symbols from this site on my bedroom walls.

i believe when i am in the mood that all nature is full of people whom we cannot see, and some of them are ugly and grotsque, and some wicked and foolish, but very many beyond any one we have ever seen, and that these are not far away….the simple of all

This is a big fairy house…. actually it's a studio which is attached to the soon to be garden and circle….. well maybe not so soon theres quite a lot of work to be done.  I learned some carpentry a few years ago when there was no nursing work available.  This is just a start. The siding will be removed and replaced with rough ceder and clapboarding. I have to have some kind of heat in there. It used to be a stall for a horse so there's a septic outlet, water and electricity, and a set up for a woodstove which if your from the northern Maritimes or New England know that's the only way to keep warm during a cold winter.  Much work still but a start at least

Thought I'd give a little update on the big fairy house. We had a rain/wind day so I couldn't work on taking down the fencing or siding the place. but I did a few fun things inside.  The  rattle is a bear rattle which is a healing spirit. Did some painting in there too  it was pretty messy from the horse and beyond cleaning.

I thank you . It will be far more interesting when it's more finished.

We'll find out how well I remember the art of Clapboarding tommorrow. Last time I did clapboards it was in the coldest part of a Maine island winter.  Also I finally got the fence down.   No more trees will be strangled by that cursed thing. The red squirrell seems to have adopted me. Followed and watched me all day today.

Okay the outside is done for the season unless we get a late start to the snow I might get ambitious and start the ceder shingles.  The next big project is the structure for the first and central garden. Eventually Most of the grounds you see will be gardens, but thats a work of years.  I'm playing with curtains working art into them I know I posted earlier but it was so dark you couldn't see well so I opened the door and took a shot from outside so you could see them better. I was going to throw these away til I got the idea to work with them a little.

okay folks I opened a photobucket account so I can show pics without using up too much of the forum space.  I'll be adding to this regularly since it's a beautiful day here today oh about 60 degrees and sunny  with a nice ocean breeze for those roasting in the southern climes.  Here's the site  I'll post when I add a mess.

oh yea added a photo of the main part of the library that looks out to the birdfeeders and a couple little odds and ends from this morning.

When I read the part about the red squirrels, it reminded me of a post Hatter made a while back. They could be Fae in disguise! Just a thought. Lovely faerie house, by the way. :3

Which House the big one or little one? The big one is going to take a lot of work because I need it to be a practical building. And it has to be pretty much renovated inside and out which is heavy work for a middle aged fartess.

Siding this year and a roof next year maybe knock a few feet off that crazy tall chimney and a possible expansion.to allow the chimney/ stove or fireplace to be a central feature.

They've been keeping a close eye on me since March and maybe before . But thats a whole other story. You guys wanna come help me dig the pit I need someone who can weild a  50 lb pick ax my arms are getting sore.

this house is really cool, but I'm a bit confused. Is the house for the fairies to live in or for you to live in with the fairies? is the library inside the little house? S o confused.
