Could you possibly create a tutorial with specific step-by-step instructions on making a Fairy house? I'm planning on making one, but I have no idea where to start.
Thanks sosososoo much, I <3 your website!

a Bird house is really nice and elegant for the faeries A woman I know buys the little wood birdhouses in the craft stores, and glue guns mosses on it- and acorn caps, and dried things from nature. It really looks beautiful and enchanted!
I got one of those cardboard berry containers and cut out a little doorway on the bottom. Then I glue-gunned seashells all over it and call it a "faery spa" You could also glue gun dried woodland things like pinecones and acorn caps, etc as well!

There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks. Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story.

Be sure when building the fairy house to use all natural materials both inside and out. It is amazing how easy it is to grab unnatural items; metal, plastic, etc. When putting together my fairy house I soon found what a fun challenge it was to keep it all natural. When I heal up from back surgery I plan on putting together another one out back by my stone circle and magik garden. It will be a house with it's own yard and out side funiture. My first one I made, with a hollowed out log off the wood pile, ended up in my woodland fairy bathroom inside.
Also once it is built and set up before opening it up always knock first and express your intentions. To me that is not only respectful but appreciated as well
Merry Meet, Talitha

Thanks for the advice.
I'll be able to stick leaves and stuff on now becuase it's autumn all the trees are beginning to drop their leaves.
I don't really like pulling leaves and flowers of plants so I'd rather wait untill they fall of naturally, if you get me.

hi guys! well i perfer to hand make my fairy houses. i have noticed that the fairies seem to like it more when you put lots of time into them! a great simple thing you can do is go outside or in any wooded area and find old fallen tree bark (pine tree bark works the best. but be careful not to damage any wildlife around to while gathering supplies!) get 3 of the largest tree bark pieces you can find. take the 2 largest pieces and place them to where they are making a little peak shape (upside down V ahah) then place the smaller one on the back.try using wood glue to hold them all together!! next you could maybe find some old simple scrap cloth and drape it over the opening of the house to provide warmth and privacy! next find some simple dead leave (make sure they arent too small!) and place them on the floor of the house. you can add maybe a few shells and place them infront of the house to use as stepping stones too! what i do is place a sturdy small stick on the peak of the house and glue it down. make sure it sticks out a little bit over the edge of the house! then find some twine or very small scraps of skinny rope. then find a small but semi flat piece of stick (i use mulch) and tie the 2 pieces of twine to the small stick and to the bigger stick on the roof to create a swing!! the large stick at the top also works as sturdy foundation :] i hope i have been or help! you can add whatever else you think the fairies may like too! have fun! make it sweet and simple and they will love it.

Hi Mackenzie,
Very helpful post about how to create a natural fairy house. I was especially glad you mentioned to “be careful not to damage any wildlife around too while gathering supplies,” since it is so important that we respect nature whenever possible.
I find that the fae enjoy the energy and intent that is part of gathering and making a fairy for them, it makes the house very attractive to them.

Hi I lovefaeries, and welcome to the forum!
Natalie will have good advice for you soon-
I would think that the fae have no problem if you make a pixie or fae cottage for them from a box. I've made them from even plastic flower pots even. As Natalie said- they like the effort and care people put into them and they are touched that a human would be so thoughtful.
If you put it on a shelf up high away from your housepets, it would not get damaged, and also if a small pixie or fae does go there for a place of rest– they would have more privacy.
I personally would not put it too close to electronics or televisions because of the electric magnetic energy that emits from these electronics. Faeries and Pixies are very sensitive to these EMF waves. Putting houseplants and stones near it will help ground the area near it for them. They love stones and houseplants :-)

hi natalie i was wondering is it ok for the fairy house to be next to electronics like televisions and do the faireis like animals because i have a dog and two hamsters in the other room. somtimes my dog does come into my room but they fairy house will be up high. i was also wondering if i could make the fairy house out of box and decorate it with nature it has a door and stuff but its a box.
Hi i love fairies,
Lisa has given you great advice here, as usual .
The fae are very close to nature and have no problems being near animals at all. We have tons of pets in our home and everyone gets along pretty well (my cat blueberry gets teased by them a lot).
Now, about the electronics–further away would be best but I have to admit that i have a small fairy cottage in my room that sits on a shelf about 1 1/2 feet above a small tv. Still, if I could find a better spot for it, I would.
Lisa's right, they will appreciate anything you make with them in mind so what you have got planned sounds really great!
