Hello there, sooo i am excited and wanted to announce the changes that has been happening around my life right when i started believing in fairies more. I am in my mid-twenties and about a month ago, i lived away from my family living on my own, thats when i was having some trouble and decided to move in with my family in an apartment they had vacant. Anyhow when i moved in, i had a positive state of mind, i was going to change my life for the better and help my mother around more often,,,
And so one day i was looking at my mothers garden and it was a mess,,, her flowers were dying and none of them were blooming in the end of August. My mother loves her flowers and plants to the point that if any of them die she literally gets depress and emotional, so yesss my mother was very emotional, which was irritating me. Anyhow i asked her to stop putting them chemical bug poison because its not natural, and decided to make a natural blend of bug repellent, using garlic, vinegar, and water. I also added some egg shells on the dirt to keep slugs away.
So she let me put this treatment on her plants, and from there i told her "mami im going to add a small house to your garden, its going to be for fairies to come around and protect your garden adding more life to it also." she looked at me as if i was insane, and i show her some pictures of fairies telling her that they do exist and they are nature angel, they take care of anything with nature. She thought i was insane, not believing what i was describing, and she ask in spanish "isnt that a walt disney cartoon?" and i explained.
so i built the fairy house, placed it on a hidden spot, made sure the yard was all cleaned up, and left some gifts for the fairy such as blueberries and shiny things. I showed my mom around the garden, making sure she remember how it looked before.
The very next day, I wake up in the morning excited to see if the garden changed a bit, well to my surprise the yellow leafs seemed greener and shiny, the flowers that wouldnt bloom was making some effort so i noticed some buds developing, and on top of that, we never ever had clove leafs which were spread out all over the garden. My heart fell with joy, i was happy and had to call my mother out so she notice the difference. To her surprise her jaw drop, she couldnt believe that her garden was coming back to live.
And so a week goes by and every single leaf were bright, shiny, and green. All her flowers were blooming fully, some bloomed all the way looking big and lovely. My mother was in awe she couldnt believe her beautiful garden was coming back to life… everyday since i would leave blueberries, or a piece of cake, or anything shiny.
Just to remind you all, my mother is very christian and she has this state of mind that "God is jealous, and doesnt want us to worship anything else other than him" but i kept reminding mom that we not worshipping anything, we're opening our minds to other beings that help the earth, and before i did all this i did ask for God permission. I was only doing this for my mothers happiness. Anyhow to my surprise yesterday oct 10th, i was shopping with my mother and she saw a nice little doll house and she excitedly grabbed it and said "omg lets buy this for the butterfly spirit, and decorate it nice with flowers all around, we could have 2 or 3 houses for the butterfly spirit." LOL she calls the fairies "la mariposa de espiritu" which means "butterfly spirit" in spanish. LOL. well i must end the story here besides my many other experiences that i been having, i do feel blessed. I must say hearing my mother speak this way made me hold a huge smile on my face. Stating to myself "it's so easy to fear but its hard to believe."

Chickadee, how beautiful!! Something similar happened to me this Summer! I have a Faery garden in our yard but this Summer, I felt to move the cottage to the front of our home on higher ground, because with how wet our Spring was, I had this hunch we were in for a very wet Summer as well.. I even placed two miniature umbrellas' near the faery cottage too ..lol,., and placed it in the part of my mother's garden where there were sick plants.

I noticed that after two weeks or so, the same kinds of wild flowers that had sprung up in the faery garden down the hill also started growing right around the Faery cottage placed in the new area as well. Also noticed that a houseplant that was not doing too well started coming to life when I placed it right near the cottage.

Also, a Boston fern that was practically dead started coming to life, and is now very full again. A tomato plant surprisingly sprung up in the middle of the garden too and now has a few tomatoes on it..lol

Later this Summer, I also noticed that after the hurricanes, the tiny umbrellas were ruined, but then suddenly two mushrooms popped up where the umbrellas were!

And we now blessed with three surprise sunflowers near our mailbox with a bunch of pretty white astors., as is our neighbor across the street — I definitely can see the Faery's planning with these flowers.

You can tell your mother that ,yes, God is alive and very real- and he provides the seeds and His creation, and the Faery are given the privledge of helping and encouraging that Creation to grow. We humans are also given the priveledge of helping physically as well and cooperating with the Faery in this.. but it all stems from our Creator. I also feel so blessed, and I would love to hear your other experiences too!

Butterfly spirits are a good term ! I remember last Summer picking up trash along the roadside and inviting the Faery to come with me- and asking them to show me any garbage I missed- That day I kept seeing all of these various types of pretty butterflies fly right by me, pass me off and land on or near different pieces of trash. At first I thought it was a cooincidence, but then they kept doing it about 40-50 times! ( I collected 2-3 huge garbage bags of trash that day) Eventually I realized it wasnt a cooincidence any longer. When I was totally finished with all the trash, I stood near my car with the bags and was surrounded by butterflies happily flying around and around me as though they were being guided by invisible Faery… It was so beautiful that I started crying tears of joy while I had two giant full garbage bags near my car! When I placed the bags in the trunk of my car, the butterflies instinctively flew away up the road from where they came. It was soooo surreal!!
Things like that I can never forget.

hugs!
Lisa

You're so welcome! The oddest thing is that I was standing there crying with the two garbage bags near me–and tons of butterflies flying round and round me– and I was really close to all of the traffic as well! I hadnt noticed anyone even looking at me from within their cars!– noone in thier cars driving up the road even noticed or paid attention! And yet, it was so magical- there must have been about 50 butterflies flying playfull all around me– flying in circles even! If someone had a camera, that would have definitely been worth a photo! Nevertheless, that scene I will never forget in my heart :-)
Nor the joy I even felt from the Faery while I was cleaning that road.

A very lovely and precious experience! : D

I need to start adding more things to my garden that will make the sidhe folk even more happier. There is an online store called Etsy. There are a lot of cute hand crafted things. Many things for us sidhe-lovers and sidhe-kind as well. : )

I bought a hand made sign that said "Fairies at Play" for my bedroom door…I feel as though it needs a magical touch to it since the rest of my room does.

I know Lisa knows this story about an old pumpkin I use to have. It was small and lived longer than my family thought it would. I had near my faerie-altar…it has died but that is fine. Also, a very big and lovely moth that I never saw before took a rest in my garden once before. : 3 I have a picture somewhere. ^^
