Hello! Ive been very busy building my newish fae garden within my main yard/garden. it has flowers, trees, statues…and…a fairy house…occasionally..let me explain.

So the fairy houses have been made from lots of things: branches, bricks, wood and my most recent ones from plant pots. They ALWAYS get destroyed though. At first i assumed it was a fox or something snaffling the food and knocking it over, except for a few nights ago i left one of my "plant pot homes" out with a little food and drink inside. The next morning everything had gone,INCLUDING the little china glass i had left with milk inside. Last night again i left the plant pot home out with a small amount of food inside, but THIS time i left a sign on the entrance saying "Welcome fae+pixies! Those with bad intentions arent welcome here." and underneath drew a protection rune. This morning i went down there and the WHOLE plant pot house was gone. Without a trace. vanished. plus the little present i left for them (a pretty stone) was gone too!  I dont believe its unseelie because i often get feelings of happiness and feel at peace. I DO however think the fae are playing tricks!  Maybe theyre playing upon words with the "not welcome here" thing and thinking "well if we're not welcome here we'll take the house somewhere else!!" kind of thing! hehe.

what do you think?

A Leaf may blow
A flute may sound
But a pixie who plays it
cannot be found?
I search in the hedgerows
I rustle the trees
but little pixies
watching me from the leaves;xx

I'm not sure.  However, I placed a drink out for the fae a while ago in a cute little teddy bear tea cup and it disappeared without a trace.  I too assumed that some little fae just couldn't resist.  I don't mind – I hope this little fae enjoys it.

Sounds like they stopped at the pub and had a few  before stopping at your place.  If I leave something out I expect it to be taken. I wouldn't leave anything breakable around either. It's about as irresistible as popping bubbles on the bubble wrap is to us or so I was told.   They may have wanted the protection rune you attached to the house.  if it were me I'd build a stone table out of natural uncut stone and leave the gifts either on or under it. It appears they like runes made for them so maybe consider making a set for them. I'd put out a couple of protection ones see if they want any more of those. Make them out of natural material and cut the runes with one stroke per part of letter.

I have a recipie that the spirits ( angels)  I work with the most really really like. I use a small crock pot simmering pot but it's inside in a designated temple area where they can come in if they want. both indoor and outdoor offering places are used but the indoor one is supplied daily since that's my primary working area.

1 litre of water

powdered cocoa  don't use bars dont use commercial hot chocolate bout third to half a cup til its rich

Maple syrup  ( don't use corn syrup or maple flavored junk) I use equal quantity to the chocolate. Can use honey or molaisis where maple isn't available. dont use sugar bad for them.

boil the water add the cholocate til it disolves then as its cooling add the honey or syrup.

Don't be stingy with it either give them a full cup.  Wooden cups are not breakable btw.

It's hard to say just what the cause of your disappearing faerie houses might be, but it's very cool that you're willing to keep replacing them. :) If I might add a word of advice – since you're setting these outside, then you might want to try offering honey or syrup, or small lemon cakes, or something other than chocolate. (No offence, Bluefirephoenix. Your recipe does sound tasty!). This is for two reasons – one, we've been told by other fae that the smaller fae, like Pixies, do like chocolate, but it's bad for them. (It seems to be ok for larger fae like Leprechauns and Elves.) The other reason is, if you're setting your offerings outside then animals will also have access to them and might try to take some nibbles…and chocolate is definitely bad for animals.

Anyway, keep up the good work, Laura! :)

had no idea. Have not had interaction with smaller fae and I don't know anything about them. I have seen one as I was driving the other week. ( I managed to avoid wrecking the car)

Wow, Laura, sounds like they are letting you know they love the things you are leaving out for them — I just got this feeling this second as I was typing that the faery consider all of these things you are leaving for them as GIFTS for THEM and they are accepting these gifts and taking them happily to their realm as they feel you intended to give it to them after all.

This is what they do with stones I leave in the faery garden.  They especially seem to love the quartz crystal  :-)    I have some hematite in that garden too- but they left that there.     It would be interesting to know where in their realm they have these things!  They could also be moving these items to secret places on Earth where they feel would be "just the spot" for it.       I placed a little wooden chair in the faeries garden last  year- and it is gone now..   they really loved that little chair :-)

The little daevas always seem to want to eat etheric versions of my food. Although, somehow I know, that it is like dogs and chocolate. Tasty poison.

And they always want the crappy processed food too! They seem so curious about it, lol. So I have to act like a mother and tell them its not good for them . ;)

lol!

my friend, Ron Cordes, who has been having interactions with the faery for some time now,    told me that they told him they especially love Lemon flavored desserts, cakes, pies, cookies, etc.

The winged fae will enjoy chocolate- just as you said   though it is overly grounding for them and makes it hard for them to fly for a bit after they enjoy it.    The non-winged types of faerykind  love chocolate and have no problem with it.

He said that the faery dont mind proccessed desserts, because they only take the good from it.   I still feel more comfortable leaving them non-chemical desserts though.
