Here is a good page on Squidoo about faerie doors http://www.squidoo.com/fairydoor and this page is great if your making it with children http://whimsy-girl.blogspot.co…..orial.html

It all depends how creative you are! If you are not then you can buy some really beautiful ones.

If you have a fairy door in your garden, perhaps placed on a tree it will be a great place to leave offerings for the faeries and to welcome them into your garden. Having these doors also makes your garden a lot more magical for you and a good visual add for meditation.

Thanks Aldana!   that's a good link :-)

Oak Goblinfest,  (I just love your name ;-))   In a pinch, you can even make a faery door out of colored paper    and use crayon or colored pencil, etc,  to draw the details–  glue on a pretty bead for the door handle and cut part of the door so that it opens… and tape it with tape at the bottom of your wall-  or anywhere on your wall!

Faery doors are a  good idea for Birthday present hints for your parents too-  you can order them inexpensively on line!     Some of them sell for only $19.99  and they are made out of resin– and they even have hinges where the door opens.

http://www.collectionsetc.com/…..  I think that link sells them for $19.99  but you can Google and find more online.

Mines outta carboard\\ the top of a shoebox, lol. I'm gonna make another and prop it between like a corner or something!

I suggest that you make it colorful and let it stand out! I'm at a loss for the "where you put it and how thing", but I'm gonna do it my way!

HI! wether or not they appear to you or not depends on if they are there at the time to notice your door- but eventually they will notice-   and sometimes they appear as flying colored lights –or non blinking flying white lights , so  never give up hope- you may see them some day!

The wood and plastic sound good for indoors or outdoors :-)

Well there ya go-!  and that's all the more reason to respect them and not cover up your altar when your friends come in your room.   You dont' have to call it a "faery altar" to your friends either-   becuase it's not a place of worship ,  it's just an area you show the faery that you love them and have a little place for them.

Hugs :-)

Be respectful 2 nature, leave a mixture of milk & honey mixed 2gether and they love it!  Mine slowly dissapears, It's barely noticable! Now, if you see that it is untouched, don't lose faith, sometimes the Fae can just suck the nutritional value, taste, and even smell w\\o drinking it physically!

Make a Faery Altar, leave notes, shiny thing, pine needles (anything nature-y works!), and food\\drinks  there. Speak aloud and tell them you mean no harm and yoou wish to make friends. Tell them they can read your mind to speak to you. After a few weeks (it can be months before u feek ready), speak through your mind.  They can be attracted to positive energy!

Hope it helps!
