While I was answering a question, I was reading a lot about changelings on Wikipedia. After a while, I started to think and I saw that I actually believed in fae, and I was almost forcing myself no to. I just want to know if the fae will forgive me, and how can I re-attract them?
I am not looking to leave anything outside, because of bugs..etc but if I leave some stones, and allow them to use/play in my garden, and made a couple fae symbols, would that work?

that has happened to me alot too, i will believe and then not to just because its a bit overwhelming. the first place to start is to commit to believing in them and soon you will have no doubts at all. you can try to attract them again (theres a post here on how to attract them, you should check it out if you havent already) but all i did was too remain positive and it did take a while but it worked. Ive had two fairy encounters the second i will post later on. good luck to try and atrract them:)

I don't know if the colours have meaning but I have seen purple, green, white and clear orbs.

LOL, I can imagine that must have been confusing. I meant to post it in the topic about orbs. I don't know how that happened, I must have had multiple tabs open or something xD

lol stellar….I've had days like that.
Now, as for the question about forgiveness… I believe that many fae would be forgiving and understanding of the human learning process. In my experiences with them, I would say that they tend to read the whole person/being and not just individual fragments of time.
Would they tend to stay away more if someone didn't believe in them? Probably, if they were trying to communicate and didn't think they could ever get through to that person but they can be very persistent–Mr E had to work for years to get through to Susan. You know, if you think about how many stories we've heard right here on the forum where people have been shocked to see them because they didn't believe they existed, then it seems likely that the disbelief didn't stop the fae from hanging around at least long enough to change their opinion. :)
I think the garden idea and the symbols would be a great way to let them know they are welcome. Maybe place some charged crystals out there as a beacon for them to see. You could also meditate out there or just quiet your mind and call them to you. They like being treated with honor and respect–it's very important, especially to elves–so anything you could do to show that would be really good. Maybe you could mention the Group of Eight or Mr E and see what happens…

Thanks, I think I might try that. I think they will probably feel like visiting, mostly animal loving animals because I volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center now, plus I'm planting plants that attract lots of animals like butterflies and hummingbirds. Since I have gotten a lot more crystals, I think they will like them as well.
I also want to get a bat house, since bats eat lots of mosquitoes ( Mostly since we found some mosquitoes with West Nile in our area , and because I like bats ). I might try giving them some offerings as well.

Great ideas! I like bats too but then again I like most animals, even spiders….
I'm very impressed that you are volunteering at a wildlife rehab center–that's really wonderful! I was part of a wildlife rehabilitation group for several years, right before the fae made their first contact, actually. I got to rehab lots of different animals but especially birds and had some incredible experiences and I'm sure you will too if you haven't already. Nothing quite like working with animals and helping mother nature.
I'm glad you have some crystals, maybe place a welcome message into them (you know, concentrate and send the thought into the crystal). I don't know what your garden looks like but maybe you could set a little area aside for them and place 4 crystals the in corners of that area? Just a thought…
Oh, I almost forgot – the offerings would definitely be a good thing to do, it shows honor and they would appreciate that.

Yes, well said. I didn't really believe in faeries until I saw one. I'd always seen orbs prior to that, but never considered the possibility of them being fae. So they finally appeared to me in a way that I couldn't deny their existence or convince myself it was something else. I think that if fae want to get your attention they will, one way or another.

I should also put out some crystals near my faery house. What a wonderful experience to help wild animals! I hope in the future to try that.
