I was wondering if i am gay or part gay. I feel like I am differnt like not straight. I have an abnormal love and care for nature. I also collect alot of beutiful gems and stones. when i have free time i play music and if possible go outside. I do like it when the house is clean. I just, I just feel so differnt, not straight.

Those who have replied so far may not be aware of this, but to some people 'fairy' has become a word that means 'gay person'. This is pretty unfortunate, but it's just one of those things that happens sometimes.
With that being said, Nikolas, this particular forum is actually concerned with the kind of fae that live in the Otherworld and that you read myths about, rather than the kind of 'fairy' that refers to a homosexual. If you are having feelings you need to sort out about that, and if that is why you signed up here, then it might actually be better for you to find another forum that is actually for young people who are exploring those kinds of feelings. If you take some time to read through the forum first, it will help you decide whether it is the right place for you to be.
Remember, everybody has both a feminine side and a masculine side, though some choose to express more of one side than of the other. (Ever heard of the Chinese Yin/Yang symbol? That's what it means – male and female tendencies, in balance.) The things you've described about yourself do tend to be associated with the feminine side, but there are many guys who also enjoy those things who are not gay. And there are plenty who are. It is really only something you can figure out for yourself.
If you still want to stick around here and talk about the kinds of faeries that are Elves, Gnomes, Fauns, Pixies, and that sort of thing, then please feel free. I'm sure we'd enjoy having you. :)

Let me just get this straight – there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with being a naturalist and it's not even umpteen-thousand miles close to the word gay (if I've been proven wrong THE WORLD has gone nuts,) unless of course like Athidal said that fairy has now become a derogatory term and fairies are related to nature. Sexual orientation is an entirely different topic. If you're being picked on for being like that I am sorry for those who insults you, (and if you're using reverse psychology and being a troll to RF then I am sorry for you.)

Someone on another forum I belong to was sharing how whenever she tried to bring up the topic of Faeries with her friends, they would always crack homosexual jokes.
While she was telling me this, I actually received this thought– and it wasnt my own, that said:

Wow (claps) that was SO clever. Do me a favor will you? Learn. Learn to respect others and their beliefs, but most of all just respect. It so sad that in my generation half of the population doesn't even know what the word 'respect' even bloody means much less how to use it. Without respect there's nothing and with that you and all the rest like you will never know what being a true person is. A person isn't just human, they are a being who regards others as equals and oh yes lets hear that lovely word again, respects them and recieves it just as well. So go curl up in a corner and convince yourself that you aren't some ameboa of society picking on others differences. Really it annoys me to the point of violence, sheesh honestly! Now I have to go all vigelante on my neighborhood and go drop-kick some drug dealer or something just because i'm annoyed and pissed off.

I've seen worser things in my opinion on forums that are dedicated to the Sonic the Hedgehog and Kingdom Hearts series to be honest. And trust me they are far more worse than this. And besides this kind of behaviour is nothing new to me consideringly that I've been on other forums and witnessing other users do similar things like this one has done on this forum. So it's far to say that this user is not forth it and we should just basically close this thread down because really there's no point in having this thread up any longer and it's not worth wasting energy over one user anyway.
