I was just wondering if smells also atracted the Fae? I always like to buy the plug ins, but just the other day I really started thinking about it, those "Plug Ins" carry alot of chemicals and in time can cause cancer. So I've been looking into oils and soy candles and they are leaving a more natural smell which of course I love. And haveing them on while meditating supposeably helps you relax more and consentrate.  People have told me insente works with the Fae, but insente makes me sneeze alot. So what do you guys think?

I don't know specifically what incense to use for sidhe, my other half has asthma and I cannot use anything smokey in the house. What I do like to use ( I'm not sure if its an attractant or not) is I get one of those mini crockpots; the kind you use to make hot dips in Walmart has them… in Canada anyway. I put water in there and put in some herbs; Lemon balm is nice and I also have chocolate pepermint. These are my own garden herbs I use.  I've also had good luck with cinnimon sticks and Vanilla if I use the whole bean.  you have to watch the water level though make sure it doens't get low.  I've had other spirits not sidhe complain about the artificially scented stuff. Some candles are made with natural ingredients though.

You might think about using a potpourri pot, which uses real, natural herbs to create beautiful scents. I'd go with any herb or flower (or even wood) that generally smells nice to you and doesn't cause you to have an allergic reaction. Some people prefer dried rose petals in their potpourri, but things like rosemary, lavender, sage, and thyme would also work well, as would aromatic woods like cedar, and just about any kind of flower petal that smells nice. The other nice thing about potpourri is that if you can't grow the plants in your yard, you can often find potpourri blends at stores that sell candles (like Wal*Mart, Michael's, Ben Franklin, etc.). :)
