Better see the fae

I think I know a way to see the fae better. I'm reading a book called Healing with the fairies by Doreen Virtue and I asked my angles how I could better see them and I heard

Cut down on meat. Only eat plants and vegtables. It will make you healthier and you'll lose weight like you want to right now.

I feel it's the same way with the fae. Also I want Nat to take a look at the book. It states that fae are guardian angles of plants and animals. I just want to see if some of what Mr.E says is similar to the fae that spoke to Doreen. Also she has a fairy 101 book that I think would be nice to read.

I don't eat meat either. You probably need more iron in your diet if you're anemic.

There's vegitarians who don't eat meat or fish and then theres vegans who don't eat anything from animals. I want to be vegan and road you probably need to look into the substitutes that go along with not eating meat. I don't eat meat often anyway so cutting off wouldn't be that hard.

That would make sense considering people who eat meat have a much higher level of iron than those who do not, and we all know the fae arent very big fans of iron. I don't eat much meat either mainly just seafood. I've unfortunately never had an experience though :(

Fae don't like iron as in the metal. The mineral iron is a completely different thing lol.

Besides, most fae do eat meat. Especially elves and other human-sized fae eat/hunt animals.

I don't eat meat because it's a personal choice. I don't like supporting the mass killing of animals because I think it's morally wrong. I think it's only okay to kill if you had to survive, because that's how things work in nature, but unfortunately in today's society meat is consumed purely for pleasure and not survival.

It's not the easiest thing to give up, especially when you're a new vegetarian. They have lots of vegetarian friendly brands in grocery stores, but most restaurants serve meat in almost everything on their menu. Sometimes you will just have to be stuck with eating artichoke dip and chips while your friends are enjoying hot meals in front of you :D

Hi Road,

In addition to my fairies column, I write a column about vegetarianism, mostly veganism. You need to go veg the right way. There are myriad benefits to a plant-based diet. Many studies funded by the Amaerican Cancer Society, The National Institutes of Health, and the American Heart Association have shown that a plant-based diet prevents certain types of cancer, and prevents and reverses diabetes and heart disease. The American Diatetic Association has released a statement that a vegan diet is safe at any stage of life and is even an optimal diet. People have even reversed cancer with a healthy, whole foods vegan diet.

The healthy, whole foods part is key though. You have to be sure to eat lots of different colored fruits and vegetables though. Your plate should look like a rainbow at every meal. To prevent anemia you need to get plenty of vitamin C (to help absorb iron) and eat lost of legumes like black beans, lentils, cranberry beans, and other dried beans and split peas. Also eat lots of spinach, kale, and other dark leafy greens.

You also need to get a good liquid vitamin B complex supplement that you put under the tongue for 30 seconds and then swallow. Natures Bounty makes a good one.

A Coenzyme Q 10 supplement is really helpful too.

Organic fruits and vegetables are not only healthier and safer because they don't have pesticides but because they actually contain more nutrients and anti-oxidants than non- organic produce.

If you follow a balanced diet with lots of beans and greens, eat from the rainbow, and take the above supplements, you will be ok.

In addition to the many health benefits, there are great spiritual benefits and benefits to the environment as meat and dairy farming are bad for the environment.

Don't be a junk food vegan or you will get very sick. It takes work, but so does any healthy diet.

Good luck! Hugs

When i leave out meat even if i do every thing right for a Vegie Diet i will get sick and weak.

I ate me as Sidhe, Hunted as well as fished for food. It was apart of life and is for many. Though when you think about it really Meat isnt what gets you sick. Its what is put in the meat as well as vegies. When animals are raised as they are here. They are given chemicals, mediciand, groth hormons. and such that isnt at all good for us. As for Vegies as well as fruits you care still taken in harmful chemecals.

I still hunt and fish here in this life as human. I am not afread to admit it. It is with compleat respect as well. The wild foods, one gets from nature are better for you. I prefer to live off the land, and yes doing so involves hunting, and fishing, rather than going to a market where meets and such has chemicals to preserve it, also to keep its red color.

As stellar has said many Fae eat meat.

I agree with stellar on not eating meat because of the cause. That's what I'm doing too. In the bible though i tells people thatthe animals and plants are here for us. I bet God didn't have this in mind. So I'm going HARD CORE VEGAN!!!!! Also Hamaskala The body stores up to 2 years of vitamin B so you don't crash till 2 years are up. What do you mean by junk food vegan?

If the animals and plants were here for us then by nature you should feel superior to everything on earth that isn't human. Do you?

Remember, the animals and plants were here way before we came along. We are in THEIR home.

Everyone needs to make their own desicion about eating meat or not. I don't tell people to go veg and I DO NOT judge people who eat meat. It's none of my business. I just know the good research and the health benefits. But it is not my place to badger people into being vegetarian, that would be wrong. My husband and most of my friends and family eat meat and I cook it for my husband even though I don't like to.

So everyone, please know that I am not telling people that they should go veg. I am simply offering the knowledge that i have been priviledged to learn from the top experts in the country for those who WANT to go veg. Most people in the world eat meat and that does not bother me. It is their life and their decision.

Hi Faecat!

A junk food vegan eats junk food. Lots of junk food is vegan like soda pop, chips, candy. You can order a fresco style taco with beans instead of meat at Taco Bell, or a fresco style bean burrito. Those are vegan, but still junk food.

A healthy, whole foods diet is important.

Blue Tiger, regarding chemicals on produce, I did point out that buying organic produce is important because of that issue and because organic produce has more nutrients and more anti-oxidants.

Junk food vegans eat lots of processed foods like frozen dinners and such. You can google "whole foods diet" and you should find more about eating a healthy whole foods diet.

Regarding vitamin B, that information is wrong. I take lots of classes to get the cutting edge research on nutrition. I also interview a lot of nutritionists and doctors and they always mention the improtance of vitamin B supplementation for vegans. People get sick a lot quicker than two years with out enough vitamin B. It happens very quickly in fact.

I just interviewed a prominent cardiologist who is head of cardiac rehab at a major medical center and the head of The Wellness Training Institute. He gives classes about following a healthy vegan diet. He made a point of telling me that vitamin B supplementation is of vital importance for vegans. He also said that it is an issue for meat eaters as well.

Thousands of people are mistakenly diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease each year because of vitamin B defficiency.

I want you to be healthy and not get sick so please get a good liquid vitamin B suppliment.

Hugs.

WHOA! hold on there! I sthat what I implied? I never said ANYTHING about feeling superior to animals and/or plants. If anything else I respect them to the highest honor. Plants(i.e. nature) Is perfect. It knows when and how to grow without our help. God ment for them to HELP US! I honestly don't think plants or animals mind us eating them, it's the way their treated at P's me offYell! I form easier bonds with animals and plants then I do my family. I don't feel supirior to anyone or anything! We (beings on earth) are all equal. Some people don't see it that way but I'm NOT them. We all need each other, this isn't their home nor is it ours. We share it. We were all created at the same time and we all have a purpose. I'm sorry if I offened you in anyway and I should have been thinking before I typed.

I know you don't feel superior, I figured as much. It was more of a rhetorical question to make you think. ;)

Wow you got me scared there for a momentLaugh. Also I decided not to carry out being a vegan. I don't eat much that much anyway and if the fae do it when the have such powerful connections with animals I think I can too. I'll only eat organic food though!!!! And maybe I'll by some "stuff"Wink for the fae since I'm non-alcoholic. I just wish I had the 3rd sight so I could see them better.
