Unless you are psychically aware of the realm of the Supernatural (the otherworld and the like) and have years and years of experience seeing and communicating with faeries, this is almost impossible. Becoming psychically aware is extremely difficult and frustrating sometimes. Many people want to see the fae in phsyical form as the heroines in fantasy novels do, and some people can, some people (like Aislinn, my S.O) are born with that ability, but most people are NOT. So if you are not born with this ability, the most that you may ever be able to do is see them with your third eye, which is not easy to open, especially if it's been closed for a very long time. The faeries know that I did everything I could TRY in order to try and see the way Aislinn can, but it wasn't in the cards for me. I understand that now and am content with it. 

Another problem that you would have is that many faeries have this magical cloak called "Glamour" in which they use to hide their true forms from humans, because many of them don't trust humans, so even if you were psychically aware of supernatural creatures, you wouldn't be able to see them in their truest forms. They wouldn't let you.

A faerie is a person, even with a somewhat skewed sense of moralities and judgement, and if a person does not trust someone else, they're not going to divulge all their personal, deep, dark secrets to them. Not all faeries are good either, and not all faeries want to be your friend or your buddy, and not all of those faeries that aren't good are Unseelie, many of the nastiest faeries that I've met are Seelie. It takes a very long time for a channeler or a psychic to have such a good and trusting relationship with a faerie or faeries like we have with Nevermore and ours and Natalie and Susan have with Mr. E. It doesn't come easy and not without sacrifices.

If you see the fae, they can see you, and they can hurt you. They can make your life complicated, they can ruin friendships, ruin jobs, make you say things that you don't mean, sometimes they can take you over and make you do things you wouldn't normally, and sometimes, there's nothing you can do about it to fix it, stop it or change it. Faeries are not puppies, you can't just give them back once they enter your life.

You really need to have a good hold on yourself and a good amount of willpower to be able to tackle fae. If you really, REALLY want to talk to one or have a relationship with one, then you need to work on yourself first, you need to work on protecting yourself and building up your willpower and psychic awareness in order to have any relationship with them. I would look at books pertaining to those things first, before looking for books about how to talk to faeries in their psychical true forms. Besides that, I'm pretty sure that there aren't that many books out there with directions on how to do that.
