Hello,

I've had a missing shirt for 6 months now, and I hadnt thought much of it, but now something finally clicked, do fae steal things as big as a piece of clothing? I have searched my whole house for the shirt, and asked friends as well if I might have left it at their house. And it wasnt a jacket or anything, so its not like I would have taken it off at someones house and left it there. Could this be mischief of the fae?

I just had a pair of pants dissapear the s'morning, I dont know if I am going crazy, I had them on, I took them off to get my everyday clothing on, and they vanished! I hadnt even left my bedroom, so I really dont understand what could have happened to them.

Ideas, anyone?

I'm not sure, but I think maybe they can. The reason I think so is because there was this one time when I did my laundry and came up missing one sock. Well, that's nothing really unusual, lol. The strange part is, a few days later I went into my bedroom to do something while I was alone in my apartment, and my cat was in the room with me so I know what followed wasn't her fault. But at one point I turned around, and lo and behold, my missing sock had quite suddenly turned up on the floor just in front of my bedroom door in very plain sight! It absolutely wasn't there when I went into my bedroom. It still looked quite clean too. But what the fae would want with one black polyester sock beats the tar out of me! XD

Yes, I do believe that they can take clothing as well as other things that we really need. Smile

Sir Zachary is right, they usually do this to get our attention.  I have found from experience here that, once we acknowledge them, our lost items will usually be returned.  If you want your shirt back, try letting them know you are aware of them and ask them to please return the shirt.  Good luck!

I think the fae took one of my pretty white sock stockings. xD

I only needed them for when I dressed like Nana Komatsu since she wears white stockings. >3<

They are pretty stockings so I am fine with them having it. -giggles-

Thanks all,

what would be a good way of showing the fae I am aware of their presence? Writing them a note?

Writing a note might work.  You could also talk to them out loud (when no one is around, Laugh)–my sister Susan does that all the time and I think they appreciate it.

Just tell them something like “Hello faerykind, I know you are here and I want you to know that you are very welcome as long as you have good intentions.  By the way, would you please return my shirt, I really need it.”

Other things you can do that might make them understand you are a believer and also get on their good side is make them a faery house, post the faery flag, and leave them some treats.  Bribery definitely works!

Hope that helps!

Thanks all! I am just waiting for a good time now, when I can talk aloud without being called a lunatic! I have a big family, so someone is always at home it seems! Thanks :)
