Ok so I live in the north part of texas the nearest body of water is 20 min. away from my house and I don't live near any creek or stream. Yet I found a sand stone in my backyard. It seems to have an imprint that seems to resemble a pixie figure. I believe a fae may have put it there.Laugh I hope this continues!!

Sandstone does not have to exist around a body of water, despite its namesake. Sandstone can be found in places like the Colorado Rockies and the Grand Canyon. The fact that you live in Texas and not near a body of water does not mean that Sandstone cannot be found there. Sandstone is a very common rock, and is often used in paving or building roads and things because it is extremely weather resistant.

 

Though, there's a chance that the area in which you are in was underwater or near water in some way, an ancient riverbed perhaps or a lake that is no longer there? Everything is a possibility when it comes to the earth and the movement and aging of it.

 

However, the imprint of a pixie imbedded in the rock is another thing entirely. Perhaps you could upload a picture for us?
