Elyssa, I could be wrong, but it sounds like you are saying that it doesn't matter whether you throw garbage onto the ground instead of in the trash because it all ends up in the same place. If that's what you're saying, then I'm *really* sorry to hear that you think that, because it simply isn't true. It does matter.

When trash gets thrown on the ground, in the first place it's just plain ugly.

In the second place, sometimes harmful chemicals from things like plastics leech into the ground and hurt the plants on the ground. Or sometimes animals come along and, for whatever reason, think the trash is food, and they end up eating things they really, really shouldn't.

In the third place, it *doesn't* all end up in the same place. Trash that's thrown into trash bins (or better yet, recycling bins) goes to places where it is either contained, or recycled and used again for other things (which is something we already know the fae approve of). Trash that is thrown on the ground tends to just sit there on the ground, being ugly and doing harmful things to the environment, and the more trash that sits on the ground, the more people seem to feel that it's ok to just throw their trash on the ground. It becomes a bad cycle.

I'm sorry if this sounds like a rant, but this is one topic I happen to feel very strongly about. But I am glad, at least, to hear that you don't litter. :)

what i mean about it all ending up in the same spot, is that if stupid humans keep trashing our mother earth, the whole planet will be covered in garbage, like in the movie wall-e. i was just sorta feeling negative at that moment, because  their is this BEAUTIFUL forest near our house, and i went their when it first opened, and it was beautiful, and clean. i went back their a few weeks ago, and…….well…….its AWFUL…….so much trash…….i did a earth day pick up there and after 3 hours we had hardly made a differance CryCryCry it makes me soooooo sad to see this happen. im crying right now thinking about this. i live in a very trashed up neiborhood, and whenever i pick the trash up, after a few days its exactly the same. CryCry i just feel kinda hopeless…….we have so much beauty all around us, BUT STUPID EVIL ARROGANT CRUEL INCONSIDERATE HUMANS, NOOOO WE KNOW HOW THINGS SHOULD BE RUN, CUZ WERE SOOOOO SMART! WHO CARES IF WE HAVE TO MURDER THIS WONDERFUL WORLD THAT SO WONDEFULY LETS US LIVE ON HER? NOOOOO THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS US AND OUR COMFORT!GAH! SOMETIMES I REALLYREALLYREALLY WISH SOMETHING WOULD JUST WIPE HUMANS OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH!

and lol i dont care if u rant, i rant all the time bout stuff i feel strongly about.

Hang in there Elyssa,  I feel frustrated just as you do -because we have care-less people in my area as well-  and we have beautiful woodlands here that people do not appreciate –other than that they can dump thier old mattress or television set there and noone will see them.      Beer cans and plastic bottles litter all the creeks here too-     We just did a garbage pickup and I see more things tossed along the sides of the roads again.     We even have littering fines along the roadsides- $300 fine for littering. but people will throw beer cans and junk right near the sign!

When they actually do arrest anyone for littering it's always someone who just threw an apple core out of thier car window– something silly and non-toxic like that–  while they fail to catch the people throwing the non-biodegradable garbage!

What to do when you see garbage out there is just — in your own way– pray for each person behind every piece of garbage that they will have some type of an enlightening experience down the road and end up becoming the kind of person that will also pick up garbage and care about Nature as well.

Hugs

Lisa

i heard about some interesting news, that we should be happy about!!!

i was watching the news this morning here  (Australia) now has a zero emissions house made by the CSIRO. i know that isnt so exciting but it show that people are trying to make a difference. and not all humans are inconsiderate.

and i must say that we have a great group here, who are willing to help earth…and thats definely a start. if we can appreciate earth im sure other people can too!!

elyssa- i also understand where your coming from…theres (was) this bit of land that i loved and the STUPID,  HUMANS knocked down the trees!!!!!! also to add on to that…they knocked down these trees on the mountain behind me for houses, and right behind my house they have started building houses which has then stopped me from seeing the beautiful view.

im sure in the years coming, earth will be overpopulated(its already started) and its going to become a serious problem for nature and the animals that share it.and hopefully the people who do care will help out and figure out a solution to this problem.

Bek xx

ps-im sincerely sorry about your forest!!! i love nature and i know that it doesnt deserve this kind of behaviour from any humans.

i believe when i am in the mood that all nature is full of people whom we cannot see, and some of them are ugly and grotsque, and some wicked and foolish, but very many beyond any one we have ever seen, and that these are not far away….the simple of all

I have some exciting news!!! Here in Illinois they are starting a campagin against littering. The thing is that nearly 10,000 people will have to sign a petition to make littering against the law. Plus that is only if the govrenor exccepts it then.

Here is a message from the faery who asked Ron to send me this message– as I sent him and the faery a post over at his forum- and he showed my post to them.   They wanted to relay this to me to share with others, and I feel very honored–it's the least I can do for them:

http://tribes.tribe.net/afaery…..e19ed91831

"Hi Lisa, the Faeries of the Las Vegas Troupe thank you for your kindness towards them and the great Mother Earth. I was asked to share this message from the nature spirits of the Red Rock Canyon to the west of Vegas about three miles out now that homes have encroached on this land in the last 20 years.

The Humankind continues to defile Mother Earth in the name of progress. She cries out with anguish over this abuse. We are lost to the answers of why Mankind does what they do and how do we stop this? Do you have the answers for us Ron? In the name of the Creator we wish for the day that humans perish from this land as they know nothing more than destruction. The Humankind is like the destructive winds of time but there is no beauty remaining in their wake.   (the faeries are just expressing some discouragement here in this part)

We want to share this creation with those of you that know the beating heart of Mother Earth and stand to care take your share. We are tired and disgusted at the waste to this land that we observe everyday. There are not enough of you waking to make this difference needed to stem the tide of destruction. We look to you and others like you to continue waking those remaining in slumber.

We put forth this request in much earnest as we are aware that you as, “one” can do only so much. We ask you to stay in the desert with us at this time and sing our song loud and clear. Do this, as others may know that they are not alone here in God’s creation and that they must care take what has been given to all of us for safe keeping. We appreciate all that you have done and all that you do. It pains our hearts to ask even more of you, but we must make other Humans understand that time is short and they must leave this a better place than they found it before you, as a species, leave.

May Faery smile upon you always Ron and Karen in thankfulness for all that you do fearlessly"
