Today I was delighted to come home and be greeted by a little bird sitting right in the middle of my front steps.
I was able to go right up to it and stroke his feathers and have a little chat for quite a while before he flew off.
Perhaps he was a shapeshifter?!
whatever the how, it was very special. :)
Has this ever happened to any of you?

OMG really ???????? How sweet & cuteeeeeee :) Awwwnnnn I love the little spcl encounter you had. I did NOT have any such like that but once my brother rescued a little BABY BIRD as it got stuck into our window and so the MOMMA & DADDY bird conveyed their THANKS to us by sitting nearby us and tweeted something to us. The parents were present the whole time we were rescuing the baby bird. My famly was amazed that hw the birds conveyed their THANKS to us. That's what I can remember 4 now. It was when I was in my early 20's in India.
Anyway pls share any more sweet incidents you might have in future. I will look 4ward to it.

Wow…that seems pretty cool! My grandfather had the same experience with a crow, except he would call out the crow and it would come to him..etc
Maybe it was a shapeshifter, but what kind of bird was it? If it's a chickadee, I wouldn't be surprised as they are usually tame around this time of year, since they are looking for some bird seeds.

yes, it was most likely just a little friendly bird but it was pretty sweet.
It was a male junco.

anouk, that sounds amazing! Even if it wasn't a shapeshifted Fae (which is still possible), it very well could have been under the influence of the Faery– who were with it, resting right in it's energy field and made it feel totally at peace there with you up so close. I have never known Junco's or any other bird (except Chickadee's which are abnormally brave, spunky birds for thier small size) to get that close to a human, much less allow us to pet their feathers. That is highly unusual and a beautiful experience!
