just sit stilll, chant 'Om' for a while… clear your mind, or think of God/Goddess, gaze thoughtlessly at whats in front of you, and wait… imagine love emanating outward and coming in, connecting you to all things feel the entire creation as yourself, but dont hold onto an idea of I, or you, or any idea… just let it run through you like a river passing

Relax, close your eyes and breath deeply. Breath in through your mouth, and out from your nose. Another method is to try " belly breathing ". Humans normally breath with their lungs, but we are actually suppose to breath through our lower diaphragm. This gets us more air, so we do not need to breath as much,and helps you relax. You can try doing this by watching your belly go inwards and outwards as you breath, and try training yourself to do this.

Try lighting candles, wearing pendants, using crystals and stones and burning some herbs to help. You can also try taking a bath with oils, drinking tea and do other stuff that can relax you and prepare you for meditation.

im practicing meditation right now, I've talked to some of you about meditation in chat.

 

what I'm specifically interested is projecting/traveling/communicating(with fae) from that state of meditation.

 

are there tips for doing this or is it an ability you discover for yourself through meditation?
