Since I have been back home (here for a little holiday for the week), I go most days to our nearby wood.  Its a secluded forest with a flowing burn and bridge.  I love going there to clear my mind and open my thoughts to my surroundings.  It used to have houses a couple of hundred years ago, but now there is only ruins with moss covering them.  There are so many dragon flies and butterflies in a particular area, which is beside the bracken and has an opening of trees.  I really think there is magic in this place…it is always so quiet and fills me with such an amazing sense of peace.  I have attached some photographs of the place I'm talking about, just to share with you my faerie friends :0)

It sounds like a beautiful place! You're lucky to have found such a haven. It sounds very in touch with nature and serene.

Welcome to Real Faeries, Lorna!  It definitely sounds like a beautiful enchanting place with Faery..

I wish I was able to see your photographs, but the address link won't work on my browser.    The presence of butterflies and dragonflies defiinitely indicates a place the Faery love being at.

Scotland is a beautiful country

Sincerely

hello,

I was there again today!  And this time I felt I had a sign…….

I was in a calm mood and was writing down my thoughts and what I was experiencing.  I'm going to share it with you all (if you can bear it), below was what I was writing down when in the wood….

…………………..

Over the old stone bridge I go, with the gushing stream sweeping below.

I am sheltered under the leafy canopy, with buzzing green dragon flies darting across my path and butterflies fluttering in amongst the bracken.

I am in my peaceful place.

The misty path and morning dew cover the buttercup heads.

Sunlight hits through the trees highlighting the grassy road I take.

Gentle rain begins to silently fall all around.

My heart fills with happiness in the stillness of the forest.

On my reflection I see a little red squirrel appear almost beside me, looking for nuts on the forest floor.

It turns to stare at me for a long time.  Is this a sign?

The animal goes about it's business then crawls up an Evergreen,

still looking at me with curiosity.

Tree shadows spill across the mossy leafy carpet.

I stop and lay on the side of the old stone bridge, deep in thought, searching for answers.

Is this squirrel my spirit guide?  If I see him once more, would this tell me?

The stream below, gives gentle sounds flowing past me.

I carry on my path over the trail of buttercups and silently step out of the woods.

How do we find spirit guides?  I just had this feeling that when I saw this red squirrel (they are incredibly rare here, I have never seen one actually until today), that it was something special.

I have taken more photos of this magical place and will somehow post them – I dont know how to attach photographs on this forum, any sugguestions?

You may enjoy this ;  ( I tend to send links because we are on a forum, so I like sending visuals to help! )

http://freespace.virgin.net/ru…..guides.htm

For myself, I usually confirm my "feeling" as being truth. I tend to get this warm feeling from the inside out that sends a whirl of intense butterflies in my stomach and chills to my entire physical body, I feel a warm sensation on my third eye. This is my knowing :) I have had experiences visually however I am still training my mind, thoughts and vision. I have really been going particularly during Dusk, when the sun is setting and darkness is falling ~ this is said to be when the veil is the thinnest , and yes I can tell you I have indeed seen faerie wings and orbs of Angels, and received mysterious and surprising treasures from the Faes.

I know you said you "felt" that it was something special, be aware to your feelings and open to your senses. Take note of how you feel at that moment, and when you are in that location. Pray and meditate, concentrate on your surroundings and feel the earths vibrations and energies from your spiritual guiders and protectors. It is all about Being, and Feeling, and Sensing. Try closing your eyes and feeling. Try opening your eyes and concentrating on one particular flower or tree. Try feeling the ground, sit indian style on the Earths soil and place your hands on the roots of a tree. Hear the breeze, and sweet flutes of the Faes. Train yourself to use your senses like no other!

Your poem was just beautiful, I received the chills!

Photos ; go to Tinypic.com and upload the photos. When the photo has uploaded copy and paste the DIRECT LINK FOR LAYOUT onto a forum. As you can see there is a little Photo when posting a forum, near the font options. You click that and insert the direct link, and bam there ya go!

Blessings and Love

" The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mystical. It is the source of all true art and science. If we open our minds to enjoyment, we will find tranquil pleasures spread about us on every side. We will live with the angels that visit us on every sunbeam, and sit with the faes who wait on every flower."

Wow you are very lucky to live in such a wild place. The town I live in here in the states is one that is still being developed but has some forest places. My mom won't let me go anywhere alone because of the native snakes or because she stills feels I'm a little girl. That place sounds so beautiful and it moved me from the inside out. very beautiful. I agree with Merfairie. Try and connect with the ground and you will connect with the fae. Blessings! Namaste!
