okay when i was little and to this day i have heard voices. not like all the time but ill be sitting doing something or playing arouind and i hear someone call my name sometimes it sounds like a boy voice sometime like a girl voice. i go to where i heard the voices(sometimes where my parents are.) and my parents did not call me. are the fae playing tricks on me? or are they just wanting attention? although that brings up when i was messing around the name alaneya poped in my head(a-lane-e-a).

Maybe instead of trying to find them with your sight. Answer them.
Like instead of going to where you heard the voice, call out with your mind. have you tried that?

I use to hear the voices but they were many at one time. The freaky part is when I would hear the laugh of childern. Ta has a good idea or try meditation

You know I have that same thing going on when Im alone. I hear more like conversations but in whispers and far away and then I get sevral vocies speaking at once, like you Master_Iris.

Oh that reminds me I think I was woken up by a girl's voice outside my bedroom window the other night. I don't know why I heard the voice but I just did. It was all a blurr though, happened way too fast and I went back to sleep afterwards. So yeah your not alone on that one zakary.

It could be auditory hallucinations caused by neurological abnormality. Have you ever talked to a professional about this? It could also be supernatural. Do the voices ever say anything besides your name?

Next time you hear them, as others have suggested, answer them talk to them. Have a convesation with them, you could ask questions, but they might be too shy to answer pesonal questions. Leave some treats and shiny objects for them. *hugs*

Same thing happens to me some times it's usually a really loud mans voice I get aliitle startled but never scared.

the saaaame thing happens to me…
the first time, it was as clear as day, and i was home alone, as if two people were in my house, but nobody was! It scared me sooooooo bad that I actually tried blocking out what they were saying… :S
Then, I hear what sounds like people talking, mixed with white-noise, as if it's far-away, and it's really strange, I've not been able to make out much, though, and endup concentrating really hard, trying to hear, whenever it's like that…
BUT, it rarely happens, and almost leads to nowhere… except sometimes i can hear direction… kinda scary.
But I can't answer what they are, only share experiences… :/
Maybe it's the same…

I've had that happen a couple times. The freaky one was at work he said he was taking my patient who died an hour later. Well at least he gave me a heads up which was appreciated. My response once I peel myself off the cieling is to say hi and try to encourage a converstion if I can. It happens during a drowsy state most of the time. But that one was first thing in the morning charged up on coffee and working.

Mine is opposite. i havent heard them but my fellow housemates will come over me thinking i called them. it happens to them many times..even my partner will suddenly come over the room ask me why iam calling him..Its really my own voice calling them..wel infact i dont…this happen many many times..the latest was yesterday…my new helper experienced it yesterday also..and he was afraid….they told me i have a twin which is not like ours..like spirits…or a faery..
weird right?

What are the replied? I think if you are annoy by them calling you, you should tell them it's annoying and ask them to only call you when they have a good reason. I think you should also be careful, it could be dangerous answering them.
For example, if someone is calling me. I woud wait until the person is there to answer, if not I would say something like " Why are you calling billy?" and if they say "Are you billy?", then i'll be very threaten.
