Can you write a note to the fae and see if they'll write back? I've tried it before but then i found out it was my mom, so, what do i do? Can fairies write notes to people? Or are they too shy? 

please write back,

very good question,
I'm not sure if I'm right but I think that you actually can write to them but I don't think they would write back,
They might take the note but I don't think they would write back, they might give you signs like take your stuff as a prank to show you that they're there.
You can try writing a note and putting some stones beside it and they might take that too!
