Owl hybrids

Hi everyone =)

Last night I had a strange dream that sounded oddly similiar to another one someone else had here in this forum. I've tried to find it but no luck. It was something to do with bird-like people trying to transform the dreamer? Something like that.

So, I was in my backyard with a bunch of people, I think we were having a party or something, when a few owls flew down and started pecking at the grass, searching for insects to eat. For some reason, I felt startled by this and immediately ran. As I ran, the owls started to morph into humanoid beings, a sort of owl/human hybrid. They had large, angled wings and were fairly covered with feathers, but had a human body and human-ish face. They had sharp facial features and were brown coloured (their feathers) with flecks of white, like a spotted owl.

I wasn't scared by them, like they didn't give me the sense that they were evil, just a stern peoples. But as I started to run down my street, the people at my party got a sort of blank look on their face and started to grab at me, trying to bring me back. Eventually I was literally dragged back to my yard where six or seven of these owl people were lined up waiting for me with others of their kind wandering about my yard, almost like sentinels. I don't remember what was said but I get the feeling that they were either trying to tell me something or take me somewhere. Unfortunately I woke up before I found out what they wanted.

Oddly enough, a few weeks ago there was an owl in my backyard sitting in my tree. This was the first time I've actually ever seen an owl (other then pictures) because I live in the city, so it was pretty exciting. I got my camera and managed to snap a picture before he immediately flew away. The strange part though was that all the robins and sparrows around the owl were snapping and chirping furiously at it until he left. Is this normal?

Hopefully I'll be able to make up a few drawings of the owl people and post them up.

It does make sence as in some indain stories they would talk about these people. I dont remember much about them as i was young when told all the storries from my great grandma before she had passed on. As for the last part Owls are predators in nature and when others animals/birds see them they will make lots of noise and try to startle the owl off. Some birds and animals will even atack the Owl. As for your dream it could have a meaning but i am unsure as figuring out others dreams isnt where i am to good at. Sorry i cant help no further.

Did you see the owl in the daytime?  If so, I think that is unusual. Now, add the dream to is and it definitely becomes something very interesting.  If this happened to me, I would certainly consider that there might be something paranormal going on.

Do you meditate?  If so, I would suggest you try and contact these people in meditation and ask them what they wanted from you.  I would be sure to do some protection type things first tho.

Let us know if anything else happens!

BlueTiger: thanks for your help! I'm relieved to hear that birds trying to scare owls away is normal. I was a little wary of that.

Natalie: Yes, I saw the owl during the day, maybe a little closer to the afternoon? I do meditate. I'm not very good at it but every once in a while I do get through and have an experience. I'll be sure to protect myself. Oddly enough, owls have always popped up during my life, though in subtle ways. When I was a kid and my mom took me for walks, I always insisted on hugging every tree and wood telephone pole we passed. I would press my ear right up against it and listen. My mom says that I claimed I 'liked to listen to the humming inside that comes from the owl nests'.

If anything else happens, I'll be sure to let you know! Hopefully I'll be able to upload the picture I took. Thanks for your help!

I see owls threw the day and night but thats cause i live sarounded by nature. Aslo know 2 nests 1 just a short walk in tot he woods. But if you are so atracted to owls and owls are to you then you could have a conection as a Owl could be one of your guids and just not know that yet.

Have you seen "the fourth kind?" (actual documented cases and a really popular movie)
or well… maybe owls could stand for fae… lol… i seen a movie about fae transforming into an owl :S
But, the fourth kind- these people always see owl-like people or creatures…
if you've seen it

Hey everyone!

So unfortunately I haven't had a chance to sit down and mediatate yet (we have guests staying for a few nights) but I have been able to draw up a quick sketch in Photoshop of what the people in my dream looked like. It's not incredibly detailed but it's the closest I could get to what I remember. There's something stern but beautiful about them and I wanted to share =)

Here's the link to my DeviantArt page:  http://whiteashe.deviantart.co…..-205842612

Thanks for all your advice and suggestions!
