Today I was looking up some info on crystals in one of my books, and I realized all of the love and focus and curiousity I have poured into that particular book, and others, and then other objects. I started to wonder about the lives these objects may have on other planes. Like, when I was little, I loved to play with toys, read, draw, and play pretend so much that my activities would take on a life of their own. I could slip in and out of Here and There on a whim. And when I started to study magick, when I couldn't use real candles or knives I would go to my mental “happy place” and construct everything there and work from there. I didn't realize until very recently actually that all of this is interacting with the “Etheric Plane”, which is usually considered between the Physical and the Astral in the respect that it resembles the Physical (but is more easily changeable in appearance and possibilities), but it isn't as spiritually concerned as the Astral — but the Etheric Plane is said to reside actually sideways of our own. If you like math, it's like Physical is at (3, 3) on a graph, and Etheric is at (5, 3). I do believe in the Etheric Plane and I see it like this:
We all have a physical self and etheric counterpart (which is responsible in part for remote viewing and the whole “bi-locating” thing and is sometimes accessed during divination), and soulless objects can develop etheric counterparts when we put focus and intent into them (like transforming a rock into a throne, a stick into a wand, a cave into the bowels of Hell lol), good or bad. Which explains in part why looking at your favorite teddybear and bed evokes more love and care than say, your shoes or a cup. And where this ties into faeries: when they accept our offerings or enjoy our faery homes, could they be enjoying the food and home on the Etheric plane? Hence, them accepting your offering causes it to appear more lifeless. Because they have a hard time coming completely physical, they may be able to interact through the etheric places we create (for example, the really visual and imaginative meditation journeys), because the etheric plane may be closer to their world in vibration?
What are your thoughts on this? It just popped into my head as I was setting up my altar at home and choosing some stones to go in the area I set aside for the fae. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong and/or nuts lol XD
