Oh the Woes of Man the Grief of Ages

There are truths that we cannot fathom because we do not
want to hear them. We do not want to hear that we are near the end. We fear
death because we know that means we are able to be snuffed out like a flame. We
cannot bear to hear that we are so easily extinguished, that we are so pitiful
and weak.  That we are expendable.

So many things are uncertain. What remains is that death is
certain. Being born is certain, but living is not. We may not always get a
chance to live. We are born, but then we may die, or we may be dead before we
are born. Either way, we all will die. It is a blessing and a curse to have
this knowledge. Life and death are sacred. We never truly die. Our souls leave
their earthly vessels and move on – sometimes to another vessel, sometimes not.
We may come back as something great and powerful. Or we may not.  It is rare, oh so very rare to be reborn as a
human. Never tell yourself you are not worthy, the very fact that you were
born, the very fact that you BREATHE at this very moment means you are worthy.

We control our own fate – we write our own destinies. We are
our maker, our jailer and our saviour. We are our own undoing, and our own
creation. There is a beauty in all of us, the beauty of the heart, and mind. We
must learn to accept this, and embrace it.

Many people have tried to tell us this. We all hear it, but
just because we hear something does not mean we listen. We seek to preserve
OURSELVES, but what we truly need to preserve is life. If that means
sacrificing our entire race then so be it. We have a duty. And that duty has
been long ignored. But it has not been forgotten. Soldiers, heroes, veterans,
people who fight and stand up for their beliefs, THESE people remember. They
remember that we are here to serve, and not to be served. We are here only
because something far greater and more powerful than anything we could ever
perceive deigned to give unto us the gift of life.

Many people have searched for the meaning of life, some even
claim to have found it, but the inconceivable truth is that there IS no
meaning. If there was a meaning, it would simply be to live, to protect, and to
give life to others.

Once, a long time ago, we had the gift of sight. We knew
things, and listened to the great Cosmos. But now that we are at the climax, at
the tipping point, we have forgotten. Forgotten who we are and what we are here
for. And that saddens me. And it saddens Them. We all have this little piece of
us, this little Other, that is in touch with the Cosmos, that understands the
world it lives in. Our Other tries to communicate with us using our instinct,
using adrenaline. The Others are the reason a mother can lift an entire car to
rescue her child, why a father will stand before his family and take the
bullets that threatened his loved ones. They are our protectors. And now we
forget.

I beg you. Remember. Remember deep inside who and what you
are. Why you are here. Listen to that little voice inside. You are not crazy.
You are not worthless. You are human. And that is a beautiful thing to be.

This is so beautiful and moving! Thank you for posting this, it made me rethink my views about myself.

You Are Not Who You Claim To Be Because Who You Claim To Be Is Not Who You Are.
