So, I was googling faeries, and the veil… and I found some stuff that I wanted to share! : )

(and I'm seperating different things, with different colors, so everybody can tell the difference)

About 250 people came to the Methow Valley June 26 (My birthday is 27 June!) through 28 from as far away as Europe and Hawaii to participate in the ninth annual Fairy and Human Relations Congress, an outdoor festival in a secluded mountain meadow called Skalitude.

A giant crop circle depicting a pinwheel-shaped sun had been cut into the high grass. An open-air tent pavilion stood at the lower end of the meadow. Farther up, white peace banners fluttered in a circular array. 

The purpose of the congress is to encourage communication and cooperation of the fairy realm.

Since 2000, the Fairy Congress has been held all but two years at Skalitude, a retreat owned by Lindsey Swope and Will Buchanan. For two years, it was held near Hood River, Ore.

Asked whether she believes in fairies or is merely sympathetic to those who do, Swope said, “I believe in it – life is way more complicated than what we can see, hear and touch.”

Skeptics might mock the participants or dismiss them as New Age hippies, but they say their belief system is not much different from Native American animists, or even Christians who believe in angels.

We might call (fairies) angels of nature.

said Pilarski, an herb farmer and writer who also founded the annual Okanogan Family Barter Faire in nearby Tonasket, Wash. He said:

Many people of mainstream faiths believe angels watch over them. God’s love does not just extend to humans, but to all of nature and to all the species on Earth.

he said.

So why should these spirits not watch over all of creation?

Revelers donned wings, horns or colorful attire suitable for a euphoric Saturday night romp around the bonfire, but there was no evidence of drugs or inebriation. Voices raised only in song or laughter. The sound of drum and flute carried on the wind. Children frolicked. Adults gathered around a communal outdoor kitchen.

As proof that the nature spirits are fascinated with human shenanigans, many at the Fairy Congress cited the existence of orbs: transparent balls of light that appear only in digital photographs taken at happy occasions such as festivals and weddings.

Critics say orbs are reflections of photographic flashes off dust particles in the air, but Hope and Randy Mead, who live north of Colville, say they know better.

Their independent film, Orbs: The Veil Is Lifting, was shown at the congress.

Hope Mead, who has studied orbs for eight years, said they are beings from another dimension, perhaps from the fairy realm. Such phenomena are becoming more common as the year 2012, the end of the Mayan calendar, approaches, and the veil between the dimensions lifts, she said.

What we believe is that it’s not the end of the world, but the end of time as we know it, and we are going through a dimensional shift."

I also wanted to share a thought that I had: Maybe the faery world and mirrors have a connection… because everywhere I see in the movies… there always seems to be an entrance through mirrors… The 10th Kingdom, Labyrinth, and MANY more! Also, their world mirrors ours… food for thought. : )

And I remember only once what I saw! And I feel like I saw, like a fairy ring, and the fairies inside were playing and singing and dancing. I'd deffinitely like to see if I can find anything more about mirrors!!!

I've also done the trance thing, and it was a total accident… the first time.

I was bored,sitting in the car, waiting on my sister at night, near Halloween, and… i was just staring… and i started to see things… so i guess  black mirror isn't all that needed hehe

Please tell me if you do have any more experiences like that?!

I totally agree with that quote- and i am not involved in the New Age movement- but follow the Christian path.     Nevertheless, I have been shown that God works in mysterious ways.things I never believed in before, the Lord has knocked me down a few pegs to teach me never to say "never".

My encounter three years ago was one beautiful example of that.     There is much for me to yet still learn- and things I may not understand now, I will continue to learn in God's great "School" :-)

Even as a Christian,I would feel right at home –and even feel as though I entered Heaven if I had the opportunity to attend that wonderful Faery's Congress over in Skalitude!      The Faery Congress has a Tribe forum that I am a member of– but I think they took it down and are only on facebook now.

 

Years ago when I was in one of our church retreats , someone asked the pastor if God had created other beings beside we humans.  If their are ET's and such–or if it's just we humans and angels.    My pastor-who never gives any advice to anyone unless led by the Holy Spirit  responded that "it would be highly arrogant of mankind to assume that the Heavenly Father only created we humans"–       In fact, the human race is probaby the newest youngest race of all intelligent Beings God created and one of the most disfunctional and out of alignment from the Creator's plan.   God  loves to reach  out to the "underdog" and so He isnt finished with us yet.   (   I often remind the Faery this when I take my walks outside and chat with them– not to be discouraged as God aint finished with us yet!    )
