Maybe not the friendliest of topics, depending on your belief in the urban legend, but I'm bored at work right now and ended up googling "scary stories" to read lol. I ended up on Snopes.com (a site all about urban legends) and one story reminded me of the Bloody Mary game.

So I was googling around for Bloody Mary experiences, and i came across this blog: http://rubloodymary.blogspot.c…..chive.html

The author of the blog seems serious about the topic, or at least a bit more academic and logical than most of her commentors, and it's a fun read. Out of the anecdotes I've read so far, maybe 10% or so seem viable, but that's enough for me because I am infinitely curious :/

I mostly consider it harmless, but I do believe there is powerful energy at work in the simple act of Believing itself (whatever you believe in). My idea is that there is a real Bloody Mary thoughtform out there that can be accessed, not necessarily a demon or true ghost. What do you guys think?

Have any of you tried this? I never have; I was too scared when I was younger, and as I got older it completely slipped my mind. I never had a sleepover with all those fun, silly games T^T so I'm a bit jealous, and I decided I'm going to try this at home tonight… and I'll get back to you :3

I know you; I walked with you once upon a dream.
I know you; The gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam.
Yes, I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem.
But if I know you, I know what you'll do.
You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream.

I never tried it. I was too scared. But some friends of mine said they saw a female face flash in the bathroom mirror and quickly fade away when they did it. It would make sense that there is a Bloody Mary thoughform out there. Because it is a widely popular game and that many people concentrating on the same thing would probably call something into existence.

I've done it 3 times at school in the bathroom with a group of friends once at my house and once with a few more of my friends at their house never saw anything but its possible that you can see something by believing its there, once when I was little my parents were joking about how they saw indians in a creek I was playing in and I believed that there were and I actually saw a pair of them, it could be that you can summon something by believing in it but I consider that event as a time when I scared my self in to seeing something.

I was seriously creeped out when I heard that story back when I was younger, so I never tried it. Do you guys know who bloody mary really is though? I've read books on her, she was a real person, so it doesnt creep me out as much now, although I still would never try and summon her.

I would not summon any thought form- you are putting yourself in spiritual danger by doing this as there are trillions and trillions of entities out there who enjoy making sport of humans– and they consider humans "fools" to begin with- so dont give them any excuse.  Many will take up the opportunity to manifest and they will enjoy imitating her as they are masters of deception..

"Bloody Mary" was an actual person – a wealthy aristocrat centuries ago who ordered young peasant woman murdered and drained of blood- and then she would bathe in their blood because she thought it would help her maintain her youthful appearance. –   She was  someone who totally rejected Light and went to the dark side willfullly.

Eventually she was found out and was imprisoned inside the walls of her castle.      She went totally mad after that and they could hear her screams continuouslly.    After the demonic entities fullfilled thier plan by using her to grotesquely murder young peasant women for years–   they had little use for her after she was incarcerated– so she became fully possessed.

If you summon her,  you are now entering the arena of Black witchcraft and I would not go there or encourage others to do the same.

Feredir,   Many native Tribal people's souls are in the astral realms still -and you may have seen two of them actually.

I once played some of my Native American Tribal music some years ago- and the CD I had had some war music on it– but I didnt realize it.   When I went to sleep, –right before dozing off, I was startled by several Native American men dressed in war paint appear in my mind's eye and look directly at me with an alarmed look on thier faces.    I looked right back at them confused and shy-   and thought, "Geeez, it's just lil' ole me– i'm not threat to you!"

Then the vision was gone, as though they understood the music I played (authentic pieces too) was not the real deal- and there was no war call.   I felt really bad after that and I believe that these Tribal brothers realized it was my mistake -and that I love thier music,  so they prayed for me.

Actually thats is one of many legends if you go to different states and ask about her yoy get different responses. that sounds like what vladimir would aka drcula but thats my opinionion although i think legends do come from a type of truth thats been twisted for our pleasure.

I heard about her on the History Channel last year . It isnt a legend- but actual events.    She was nicknamed "bloody Mary" afterwards because of how she would use the blood of the girls she had killed so to bathe with.

There was also a Vladimer in history as well with his own demonic issues and atrocities.

Throughout history, there have always been a few people that the Dark Side was able to use easily to hurt others and create fear in people.    Geofrrey Dahmer is one example in  recent history.

I too have played this game when I was younger (around middle school). I was only able to see something being formed but would get scared and run out with my friends. Years later I learned about the real origin about Mary. I also got to play "Baby Blue", don't know if you guys are familiar?

i done many diff kinds of bloody mary. the one i remember best is flush the toilet 5 times turn out the lights and yell for bloody mary. there are soooo many ways of summoning her that idk if there is a real one. once when i was trying another version in my bathroom upstairs (i forget what version, i think the mirror one) as soon as i had finished my little brother ran out of the downstairs bathroom screaming. the first time i did the bloody mary thing it was in kindergarden and i had walked into the bathroom and a bunch of older girls were doing it and i joined in :P. my friend recently told me that to summon bloody mary you have to wake up in the middle of the night (exactly) but not on purpose, then go into the bathroom and look into the mirror. *shrugs*

I don't have the patience to read through the entire post's replies, so I'm not sure if you were corrected yet, forgive me if you were- but the person described here is Elizabeth Bathory. :3

'Bloody Mary' was Queen Elizabeth I's elder sister, actually. She earned the nickname from killing people not of her religion. Just thought I'd put that out there~
