Try Amazon.com! you can pay through Pay pal and don't have to use a credit card
Amazon.com is where I bought all the books I mentioned.
you can also go to Barnes & Noble and ask them to order it for you if it's not in stock.

i was looking up fairies book, i found wicked lovely By Melissa Marr.
anyone read it before? if so what's the first voulme, cause the series doesn't seem to go by number.
i recommand valiant by Holly Black, her/his other series tithe. i dont know about ironside but i sure wanna read it.
Well re-reading tithe, tigger me again to look up the fairies folk, although at that time i have no clue what fairies are. I know of fairies through this book. ^.^ I even end up with a fairies book before i know about them, The little People: stories of fairies, pixies, and other smalls folk by Neil Philip. (time:junior school) I went to a small shop near the mail headquater looking for manga, they didn't have any so instead i was enchanted and went to this certain part of the shop where many book were lay out on sale. As i remember, there was more than one book about fairies, or maybe none, but then again i believe there were more than one. (Thinking about it, the “none” is stronger than “there are”) At first it was the art that interest me and the price of the books, i believe i did look at other but i was drawn to this certain one i just can't let it go. i convice my mom, that it was on sale, about 8-9 dallors when it was suppose to be $24. somehow my mom even say yes too. i didn't pay much attention to it, until later, a year or so.
i re-read this book, after my awe for fairies grew. (way before this site) anyway try that book, i love it. it's a love story, valiant is like beauty and the beast. tithe, is kind of weird, i was like 'how did love grew between these two? i don't quite get it' even after reading it twice.

^ta,
You've found some good ones there! Im reading Wicked Lovely right now, its ok so far. Also, there are the Spiderwick Chronicles, and also another series by the author of the Spiderwich Chronicles, her name is Holly Black. The first book in the series is called Tithe. Im not sure what age exactly your wondering about, so these are books I find interesting, nothing too fancy.
Lets see, there is this one series called Philippa Fishers Fairy Godmother that I quite enjoyed.
There is also a series called 'The Fairy Chronicles' its made for a younger audience, but I read them and quite enjoyed them!
Hope I helped, these are some really great books!

i thought the first book was valiant. age: young adult, i don't think i see fairies books that are for adult.
i have seen Spiderwick Chronicles, but i wasn't interest, the art isn't too convicing and the plot doesn't interest me.
about wicked lovely, i read the summary, it sound interesting.

Umm….. If anyone was looking for a good fictional book with some different fae in it there is a book called Shadowmagic, by John Lenahan. It is very, very loosely based on Irish mythology. You can buy it from the website http://www.shadowmagic.co.uk or you can get it for free as a podcast on itunes… I HIGHLY recommend getting it.

sorry if someone has already posted this…i only had a quick look through–but have you had a look at a local bookstore–there should be a section about new age–meaning stuff like faeries, magic, and topics related to that subject.
hope that helps, :)

i believe when i am in the mood that all nature is full of people whom we cannot see, and some of them are ugly and grotsque, and some wicked and foolish, but very many beyond any one we have ever seen, and that these are not far away….the simple of all
