Hello. Sorry about the title, I couldn't think of anything better.

Anyways, I know some of you out there have parents who disapprove of the use of magic or association with the supernatural. This can be for several reasons, but one of the most popular reasons is because it supposedly "goes against your religion". This can be very frustrating and can even cause you to lose access to things such as Real Fairies and other websites that help you do white magic, associate with Faeries and other positive entities, and et cetera.

Also, you may have friends who mock your beliefs, or also think it is ungodly to practice even white magic. This, also, can be very frustrating and can cause your friendships severe strain.

This thread is for discussing how to cope with these issues.

Gosh..

I've only told one friend and she is now scared to death of me.

My parents know (they don't know what to think of it but they know).

I wanna get premision to buy something from the sites store but I'm afraid to ask.

My favorite Fairy Verse -

"Many people don't believe in faeries, but if you look real close they're always there."

I think explaining to your parents about it would be a good thing. Telling them how you do it only for good, and how many people do it, and it betters your lives. Tell them you want them to be completely comfortable with who you are, and that you hope they won't try to change you; that you don't mean any disrespect, but you aren't going to change who you are. And then ask them if you could please get ingredients to further better your magic and life overall. I plan to do this soon; I think my parents are in the same position as yours.

As for your friends- yes, I've told three of my friends, though I only explained to one the extent of my involvement. She kind of rolls her eyes when I talk about the Fae or things like that, but I think she might want to get more into it. My other friend I don't really talk to much, but I told her a bit and she thought it was cool. The third friend I told seemed to be interested, particularly in the idea of the Fae existing and particularly in the idea of them appearing physically.

Explain to your friend exactly what I said to explain to your parents- also add on that she shouldn't be afraid, that you're still the same person inside and out, you are just bettering your life.

I hope this helped.
