beautiful lights moving through the sky

A little under a month ago I was watching my dog in the backyard. I live in an area where I see a lot of shooting stars, and even though it's urban it's got decent star visibility at night. It's also got a very rich history around this spot (it's actually right where the Halifax explosion occurred). I feel like its this really enchanted spot–it feels like that all around this portion of the city. Well anyway, I was in the backyard, and it was this quiet day, the sun was still up but close to setting. It was a bit of a calm before a storm. And I was looking out toward the harbor, and right above some trees ahead of me I noticed all these glowing dots moving king of northwesterly. At first I thought they were in the sky like stars, but then it became clear they were really quite low (at least as low as birds or lower). There must have been at least twenty of them or more. They were like these twinkling star-like things that were just moving through the wind. And they were just visible in this one spot–they must have been appearing in one spot because it wasn't like a group moving from point A to point B, rather they were all moving onward but then went out of visibility while more were coming into visible range. So like they were invisible til this one spot that stretched at least a meter or two, then went invisible again. It's hard to describe. I saw them for at least three or four minutes. But I really can't possibly imagine what it was! It was so amazing, I've never seen anything like it. It was really enchanting, is the only thing I could think.

I think I know what you are talking about. I have seen a similar sighting except that I saw only one glowing dot in my backyard being visible on and off, just last summer. And I know it is not a firefly. Fireflies don't move like that or glow like that. It appeared after I asked to see a nature spirit. After that, there is no doubt in my mind that fairies other beings do exist. Best. Summer. Ever. Cleared up lot of questions.

I don't exactly know what they are, but I do look forward to seeing one or more again.

Cae,  what a beautiful experience !   Ive seen the faery fly about like lights before but it sounds lke you saw a whole giant Troop of them travelling to some area.  that is awesome :-)

Canada has a lot of enchanting areas.    I love Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada especially  :-)     Author Ted Andrews mentioned  his faery experience there at that park in his book, Enchantment of the Faery Realm.

Oh wow, a spot of history is always so interesting to hear about! I've always wanted to visit Halifax. I think this experience you described is no doubt a fairy sighting, all the ones involving lights always convince me! Thanks for sharing :)
