Cat vs Faery

I am wondering about cats and faeries. I have always had cats and for the most part not noticed anything unusual, until these last few weeks. We adopted a second cat almost a year ago- and even the vet commented how highly observant she is. She investigates and sees things that most animals would care less about. Lately she has been acting strangely staring intensely at invisible things on the carpet and in the air. She occasionally paws lightly at these invisible "creatures" on the floor even and have seen her chasing invisible things in the air. My children(15&12) or I always go to investigate if it is a spider possibly on the rug, and being winter there are no ants or flies or other bugs- there is always nothing. Today my antique fan has been the focus of our cat's attention, looking with great curiosity though it is not new to her any longer. New is the key word here because this cat becomes bored of toys easily or other objects that she has checked out. She has also looked suddenly alarmed a few times today running from nothing, but the fear is evident on her face. I read on one site that cats can always see fae, and hate them because of this…however not everything you read on the Internet is true- so anyone here with experience or knowledge please post. I have had other possible fae experiences, but this is most recent if it is faery related.

It isn't unheard of for cats to see Fae but I don't think all of them do. Only some are able to from my experiance. Cats be intinct will chase objects that mve in certian patterns. If your cat is chasing what others can not see and shows no sighns of any mental disease it is ery possible it could be fae. Also some cats will do similair behaivors when they simply have too much energy and are bored.

It makes sense that not all cats see faeries….because our second cat doesn't seem to see anything. I have witnessed our cats getting what I call the cat crazy's, zooming around the house for no reason- but I know it is just play. Our strange orange female cat is a very weird cat admittedly, but this is even weird for her. There have been the odd things today and the last few days that have disappeared and then later reappeared in plain sight or sometimes in obvious places(just not the place you put the item). My daughter had even lost an earring at school only to have it show up in the middle of her bedroom floor in plain sight. All this activity has coincided with our cat's experiences too. I still am keeping an open mind to other possibilities like coincidence too. Thanks for the info!

Some cats can definitely see fae, even Mr. E mentioned this.  I know what you mean about the cat crazies – mine do it too sometimes. :) Maybe more telling is the bit about items appearing in unexpected places, since that's one of the things fae  do when they're trying to get your attention (or just have some fun with you). If you feel like trying to be friendly and neighborly, you might try setting out some honey or other nice, natural treat in a little dish on a low table or something, and announce that it is specifically for your local friendly fae. About 24 hours is a good length of time to leave the food out before cleaning it up. (You'd think that the cats would get into stuff you set out like that, but amazingly mine have always left fae-dedicated foodstuffs alone – even my Mr. Nosy Kitten! Yours may well do the same. :))

Sounds faery or Pixie related to me-   I hope not unseeley Fae- but I believe she is seeing some form of small Being that is in your home.    The earring in your daughter's room is a nice gesture on their part :-)
