Ok, last night i wanted to contact the Fae, something i think i have only done once, but i was feeling really lucky so i went for a walk with my sketch book. I ran into some of my dodgy friends who drink and smoke, and i don't know if they were drunk but they were really loud and wouldn't let me concentrate or go to my special Fae 'hunting' place ^.^ and i couldn't tell them about the Fae, so i started to walk home.
The first thing i noticed was there where so many birds out, singing there beautiful melody. As i was walking past the little brook bridge i looked up at a bird, and as i looked down again i spotted a cat. This cat was beautuful, it was ginger and white and really fluffy with a long fluffy tail, as soon as i saw it i walked up to it; i know i shouldn't have because it might have something wrong with it and i am usually good like that but all i wanted to do was see this cat.
The first thing i said was 'hello' because well, why wouldnt i?
And the name Ruby just came to my head.
I dont know if this cat had anything to do with Fae, but i whent out for a walk later that night and the cat was still there, and it came straight to me when i called out 'Ruby'
What do you Guys that? is this something to do with Fae?
Wow that sounds like something special It may not have something to do with the fae (I think people forgot the natural magick and spirits of the earth and always want some puppetmaster cause), but who knows. If you see Ruby again try asking her.
And on a side note about the name “Ruby”, it ends with an “ee” sound and there have been tests that show that animals are more likely to respond to a name if it ends in an “ee” sound because it sounds more distinct. You could probably call her Cookie, Cutie, Baby, etc and she may come. My cat is named Sabrina and she pays more attention if I call her Bina or Sabby than Sabrina.

You may have been communicating with the cat itself. It's entirely possible to learn to speak to animals or even have a natural born gift for it. It's something a lot of us can do but most don't take much notice of it. It could have been Fae related, but I think it's something more on this side. Which is wonderful on in its own way. :)

Wow, that is awesome! I wouldnt be surprised that a faery put this cat's name in your head- so that you would know her name. You may have had faeries with you while on that walk
I do also believe that we can communicate with animals- Some clairivoyants are able to do this- it's awesome! Animals do have feelings, opinions, just like we humans do.
Even wild animals. I'll never forget one morning last Summer after I had tossed some food scraps into the farm field– that morning while I was half awake/half asleep, I heard some birds chirping near where I tossed the scraps the night before. I actually heard in my mind, "You can eat this!' in a very excited tone as though one of the birds were saying this to the other birds– and yet I only heard them chirping- but my mind was able to pick up on what they were SAYING!

Well I was thinking about it and what if this cat was like a fae cat and it was very intelligent and knew so much about humans. Also I thought what if it was lost and the fae put her name there incase you saw a poster or something like that. you never know.
Are you sure she was a stray? How clean was her fur? Especially if it was a long-haired cat, if it was a stray her fur would have been a mess. I have a spell to return a lost pet that you could try, if you like? I don't have the book with me at the moment, but I can type it out in a few hours when I go home.

I think it is important to remember that Ruby is not *your* cat, nor may she be anyone elses. You could change the wording of the spell to ask that Ruby find a loving family, with you or not.

this is awesome and very weird me and a friend of mine went walking one night about midnight/early morning and we saw this small figure near this car we went in on closer inspection to find that it was a cat. it was all shy then it saw Ebony (my friend!) and it came up to us. idk why. and weirdly enough it also was Ginger with white through it.
we then walked down the street and it followed us. we sat down on the sidewalk and it sat down too. i felt very safe as if it was protecting us or something and me and Eb were both thinking it had to do with the fae but we were sure.
I asked my mum a couple days later if she had seen this cat before (she goes on heaps of walks) and she said No she hasnt. i havent seen the cat since and i miss it too and wish i could meet it again, i felt a connection with it and would love to see it again!!!
i believe when i am in the mood that all nature is full of people whom we cannot see, and some of them are ugly and grotsque, and some wicked and foolish, but very many beyond any one we have ever seen, and that these are not far away….the simple of all
I belive it could very well have been the cat telling you her name. I've had many cats over the years, and at one point I had 13 cats at my house. (Long story) I wasn't planning on keeping any of them, and I didn't want to name them so I wouldn't get attached. However, after a while of being around them, distinct names that I wouldn't have picked out kept popping into my head for each one. The really odd part was, when I called out any of the names in my head, only that specific cat would come to me. It was very odd. I swear to this day each one of those cats named themselves. Perhaps you were being communicated to by the cat.
cats and dogs are very smart. They know when your sad or if your angry and come along to help you.they understand who you are and can sense the paranormal. They also make the best company and as you talk to them you feel as if they speak back.
