I have a book by Brian Froud called "Fairies." It's more like an art book, but there are some interesting things to read in it :D  There is also that other book by Rev. Kirk. I don't know the exact name, but i think it's "The commonwealth of fairies, fauns, and elves." Something like that.

Keep in mind with Rev. Kirk's book that it is rather dated. Regard it how you would a science or history book from that time. I've read it and I really enjoy it, and I wish there was more literature to fill in the time between his writings and the stuff people are producing today :(

I have The Fairy Bible (http://www.amazon.com/Fairy-Bi…..1402745486) which is broken up into the 4 elements, as well as a few smaller sections. There is information on several faery types, usually accompanied by a legend involving that particular type. It has a meditation for each section and a few harmless spells, but it is lacking personal experience.

I'd like to find more literature out there on faeries, real connections with real fae, but I'm paranoid that everyone is making stuff up for the sake of profit :/ I have very little experience with the fae, so I'm not sure who/what to trust.

I know you; I walked with you once upon a dream.
I know you; The gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam.
Yes, I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem.
But if I know you, I know what you'll do.
You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream.

Thanks, Kikuyo! I'll sure read it!

It's so hard for me to find good books where I live… I think I have bought everything I could find on websites and bookstores in my country… and it's so hard to find anything that is good – that is, books that approach the subject from a serious perspective rather than from a childish one… it's so frustrating when I enter a store and they direct me towards the Children section u_u

oohhhhhh natty I have a treat for you.  And you don't need to go to the store. There is a huge archive of classical literautre regarding Sidhe. I spend a lot of time there reading I still have not gotten through it all and there is more being added all the time.

physical books THE book you need to read is Wentz's "The Fairy Faith of Celtic Countries" part of this book is on the website that I just posted. It's a very large book and it actually took me a week to read.

Next I would suggest a classical shamanistic work. Shamanism has a lot to do with Otherworld things in general. It helps shed light on what was probably the pre Christian beliefs regarding the otherworld and interaction with it's people. It's also one of the best books on magic I've ever read.

Shamanism: Archaic Techniques of Ecstasy by Mircea Eliade

Agrippas Three Books of Occult philosophy.  an extensive work on magic and symbolism, modern wicca and paganism is based on this material. Edition by Tyson is the  most recent work with the spelling modernized and greek and latin translated.  ENglish speakers sometimes have trouble with pre Elizabethian English so I strongly recommend the modern version.  It also helps you to understand how the  Tribal Celtic beliefs were syncretised with the Christian. The symbology in this book is now fairly universal.  I would read this jointly with the Eliades' book.

This is one of Mather's sourcebooks for the Golden Dawn along with Cassaubon's true and Faithful relation, The Abramelim, a cabbalistic work whose name I can't remember offhand, and Scot's discovery of witchcraft.  Golden Dawn was the source material for Gardener who essentially popularized the modern paganism and wicca movement.  I'm not a big fan of Mather's work but it's highly influential in modern magic and pagan circles.

Eliade and Wentz are both difficult to obtain even under the best of circumstances but they are really worth the trouble and money

The Fairy Bible is the best fairie book I have. Not kidding, I have spent hours and hours reading that book, and the art in it is gorgeous.
