Is this a faerie?

Hi, I'm Leanne. I'm new to this site and I just want to see what other people think of my experience before I jump to conclusions.

Well, from ever since I can remember I always feel like I am being watched by someone. No matter whether I am alone or with other people, I always seem to sense another person there. At night when I go to bed I usually hear movement in my room. Sometimes I hear the florboards creaking as if someone is walking on them. (This has been going on for most of my life so it doesn't really bother me Smile)

I also notice a flash of light at the corner of my eyes a lot. One night when my friend stayed over night we left some milk out and about 5 minutes later there was a bright light in the middle of the hallway, but it was only there for a second or two.

Lastly, right now in Scotland it's exam times, yay! I get really nervous and during my chemistry (my worst subject) I was extremely nervous. But I heard a voice next to my ear saying, "Calm…calm…calm" I looked around just to make sure if it was any of my classmates but nobody was close enough for it to be them.

Do you think all of these could be faerie encounters?

I, for one, deffinitely think so… : )

So, are you only in Scotland for exams, or did you live there before that?

The veil is thinner some places thee, so it's highly likely that you're having encounters.

Do you ever actually see anything? Just curious

Or have you tried contacting them? Maybe they want your attention : )

And welcome to the website! I hope you enjoy it!

No, I live in Scotland and, even better, I live in an area where there is a lot of natureLaugh

When I have seen something it has only ever been a light.

I have tried several times to contact them, that is usually when I see the lights, and I also leave milk or sweet food out for them.

And thank you, I am enjoying itLaugh

That's definatly an encounter, there's no doubt. And how can you contact faeries?

Could be. The areas where they live are usually pretty well known over there I'd go check one of the sites see if you see something similar. There are a lot of different types of spirits out there. Usually there are associated with lakes and certain hills, cains, ect.

They have an insane fondness for fiddle and pipes thats probably the best way to draw them out.  either play a recording or play the instruments would be even better.  They're usually out more after Beltain which is between may 1st and may 15 there.

WHat part of scotland are we talking about …. I know a little bit about the western end by Glencoe

Think we have people here from that area.  Don't know if they're still around or not.   ahhhh found hte site again. I posted this awhile back last fall I think

That should help. Be careful okay not all of them are friendly and the scotish Daoine sith were hardest hit by the onslaught of christianity.

I think for the sure they are!! Balls of light are a common form for fae to take and I've also heard quite a few stories of faeries sending encouraging messages to humans. If only I was as lucky as you to get to experience a phenomenon like that!!

It is the most amazing feeling in the world but I think encounters come easily to me because of where I liveSmile
