The Little Visitors
by Heavendawn

I'm a 59-year-old woman who lives in the southwestern part of Missouri. I live by myself and I'm a handicap. About a year ago, I was lying on my couch and I felt something come up toward me. I didn't scream. I just waited to see what would happen next. It felt as if it was a small child, maybe even smaller. I was lying on my right side at the time. This little thing walked up very slowly toward my hip, trying not to trip over me, and by the time he got up toward me, he leaned up against me! It was like a warm feeling glowing all over my body. I tried to reach out to it, but it disappeared. When I turned over again, it was right in back of me. After a time, he brought some of his friends with him.

When I go to bed, I feel something beside me. He's a lot bigger then the other little ones. Then a few minutes later I feel the little one comes up on my bed, and it's like they want to see if I'm alright. Sometimes I'll be in here on my computer and one of them cries; it sounds like a little pig crying. I told my sister; she and her daughter came to see me. On the third night, my sister heard the little cry. She never came back after that.

I'm used to them being here with me now, but what bugs me is that they won't communicate with me.

"While walking through the streets of Covington last night, I came across something extraordinary. Upon coming across this "thing" I was completely lost for words. I was both captivated and enchanted by what lay before. As I stared incredulously with my mouth gaping open in amazement, a myriad of thoughts whirled through my head. I didn't know if I was dreaming or hallucinating, I had never seen anything like it in the world before. This thing was a small luminescent figure about four inches high hovering many feet of the ground. This object was spectacular and took my breath away. It was easily the most beautiful thing I had ever seen with a blue aura emanating around. Suddenly my state of shock was broken by a faint giggling sound. Upon recovering my senses, I edged forward to see exactly what I was looking at. As I got closer and closer my mind was completely blown. I knew it was a fairy with its small body emanating perfection on all level and it delicate and perfect wing gently flapping in the air. Soon I got close to the fairy and ever so slowly reached out my hand towards it as if to touch it. At this gesture the fairy instantly darted away flying around a street corner. I sprinted after hoping to catch another glance of its beauty in perfection, but to my dismay it had disappeared. Since this encounter I have constantly been thinking and pondering about the fairy, and how I can catch another glimpse of it. I would sincerely love if anybody would be able to help me in my attempt to once again see this mythical figure that so greatly and eloquently captured my attention last night.

"Ive debated posting this because its very odd. Im not one prone to hallucinations, or waking dreams. Im sitting here now trying to figure out how to type it without sounding like a lunatic but here goes. I woke up this morning around 1020 to a noise I cant identify. I saw a fairy. It was somewhere near my face/neck/shoulder area and flew up towards the ceiling in a slight spiral then flew towards the wall above my head and out of my frame of vision and was gone. I was still groggy a little but I definetly saw it. It was only about an inch in size, the color of a cooked shrimp but sorta translucent too. It had 4 wings, It was female in appearance. I got the overwhelming sense of happiness. As Im laying there pondering this, my cell rings, I pick it up and it is the owner of a company Ive been trying to get work with, he wants to see me, and seems very interested in hiring me. (great news as Ive been laid off for over a year.) All through the day little things have happened to me that are all posative. It is very odd. I have a dog and a cat that sleep in bed with me and both seems oblivious to this creature that I am positive that I saw. I dont know what else to say, real or not life seems to be heading in a more positive direction for me so Im not going to question it too much. post 2 I know right? Its a job I really really want too. And from where this thing was when I woke up, and the fact that I woke up becuase of a sound I cant identify I wonder if this thing wasnt speaking into my ear, then flew away when I woke up. I dont know what to make of it all. Im a fallen Catholic, and have recently started saying prayer again at night before bed. I dont think the two things are related, but I dont know what to make of it all.. It was so real, and Im sure I was awake. I said I felt happiness, but whats more accurate is as it flew off it was embarrassed I woke up and saw it and was laughing at my bewilderment in a good natured mischevious way. It it almost seems like a dream now, & with only only a glance all I remember are the dark, yet glowing wings of the last fairy as it flew out the window.

Here is a beautiful experience with Elves this person shared at the Yahoo Faery Oracle's website last year:

Elvenmusic at a funeral
Posted by: "Paul Linnenbank" paul.linnenbank

"Hello everyone,

A little while ago I attended a funeral. It was the funeral of a woman who was related to the place where I work as a musical therapist, a small institute for (more or less) autistic grown-ups in the woods near the Dutch-Belgian border. She had been ill for quite a long time, and allthough I didn't know her myself, she was held in high esteem by my coworkers and the inhabitants of the institute. It was one of her last wishes that the funeral ceremony would take place here.

Along the path, holding flowers, we formed a corridor through which the coffin would be carried by the woman's sons and their friends. I half and half expected one or two of the elves, who live in the woods, to have a curious peek at the ceremony, but as the coffin arrived, I was totally suprised to hear them singing. I couldn't see them, but the air was filled with the beauty of their song. It was the most beautiful music you could imagine, and not like anything I ever heard. There was no distinguishable melody or rhythm. It was like one complete choirsymphony condensed in one moment, slowly changing and yet not changing in time. To write it down would mean to unravel this one moment into separate lines, and then spread these lines out into 'human' melodies. But still, it wouldn't be the elvensong anymore, but just the translation of it into our musical language.

As I was so suprised by this unexpected presence of the elves and their beautiful song, I asked them why they had come. They told me they were attracted by the deep profound and pure sadness of the people present, and wished to honour these people and their grief, to honour them by singing. It seems to me that for the elves the pureness of this sadness is something of great beauty, since it is deeply founded in love. One of them once told me that this is true for all sadness, and that in stead of keeping yourself concentrated on your pain and grief, you might try to look at the love that is buried beneath it instead.

Like I said, this happened a little while ago, three months or so, but this morning I felt suddenly touched again by these elves willing to share with so much beauty and love in these human affairs, not for themselves, but simply for us. And that, in turn, fills me with joy, and sadness.

With my kindest greetings,
Paul"

Creepy Critters –Imps?

by Season 2004 Ok, this one sounds crazy even to my own ears, but I can only tell the truth about what happened, and this is what happened. One day I was sitting in my living room on the floor cleaning and organizing my cds and dvds. Out of the corner of my eye I saw two black objects “scurrying” across the floor to my right. When I looked directly at them, they were gone. I shook it off and went about my task. A few seconds later they appeared again and this time when I looked directly at them I noticed that they disappeared around the corner towards the hall. I leaned over and glanced down the hall and there at the end of it were these two “creatures” “hopping” over each other. They disappeared into my bedroom and were gone. The doorway to my bedroom at the back of the house is the site of a lot of happenings that I will talk about later. Again, I shook it off and told myself my eyes were playing tricks on me. A few nights later I was sitting on my couch reading a book when I got a glimpse of these same two creatures again. From where I was on the couch I could see down the hall. They once again disappeared into my bedroom. The description of these creatures is going to sound very bizarre but the only way I can describe them is that they looked like a cross between a spider and a bat. Weird I know, but the truth. It had four legs extended out and then down like a spider but it had a head like a bat. I have never in my life seen anything like it and had no idea what they were. They were hyper little creatures though. About a week had gone by with no further sightings so I figured whatever they were, they had moved on. Unfortunately that was not the case as later that night they appeared again. I was asleep in my daughters room (she was at a relatives) when something woke me up. When my eyes focused, I realized I was looking right at these two creatures in the doorway to the room. They were once again hopping around and over each other and looking at me. I thought maybe I was having a nightmare when to my disbelief I realized that I was wide awake and these creatures were not going away. In a firm voice I told them to “go away” then rolled over to go back to sleep. I got the feeling that they hadn’t done what I said so just a few seconds later I turned back around to see if they had left. They didn’t and were still doing the same thing in the doorway. All of a sudden one of them jumped up on the bed and hopped from one side of me to the other. I yelled, “stop that” but for the first time that I had told something to leave (which I will elaborate on later) they didn’t. The other one stayed by the door doing little hops from side to side while my bedmate continued to hop around the bed, to the floor, and back on the bed again. Again I told it to stop to no avail. I followed this thing with eyes for about a minute just in shock that this was even happening. I could tell it was looking at me but I could not see it’s eyes. Finally, I got louder and said in an even firmer voice, “Go away, now!!” and they did. Just as I thought it was over and was laying back down to go to sleep, something from underneath the bed lifted up the mattress (I was on a bunk bed, bottom bunk, with only a thin mattress and rails) right at my stomach area. I came up on two hands as this thing pushed me up and watched the mattress come up with my own eyes. I got a mental image of the creature on it’s back lifting up with it’s feet. For the last time I told it to stop and go away. That was the last time I ever saw these creatures again. I had never heard, seen, nor read anything close to what these were so afterwards I did an internet search and came up across word “imp”. I don’t know if that’s what paid me a visit but it sure sounds like it to me.

George Ellery Hale was the 20th century's most important builder of telescopes. In 1897, Hale built a 40 inch wide telescope, the largest ever built at that time. His second telescope, with a sixty inch lens, was set up in 1917 and took 14 years to build. During the 14 years Hale became convinced that he suffered from "Americanitis" a disorder in which the ambitions of Americans drive them insane. During the building of his 100 inch lens Hale spent time in a sanatorium and would only discuss his plans for the telescope with a "sympathetic green elf".

Could the elf have been real?

In my opinion, yes he could have been real. Author/Columnist Ken Korczak has written about this and other instances of real elves helping people–even writer Robert Louis Stevenson–in an article here which I also found to be very interesting.

The Hummingbird-Like Faery

I would like to narrate my first (and only) encounter with fairies. This took place in 2004 or 2005 if I remember correctly. This was a period of tremendous change for me as I had decided to branch out of my profession (hotel industry) into alternative healing and psychic work. On a sunny afternoon, I was lazying around at home and was laying on the sofa in an altered sate (between sleep and wakefulness)…At one stage I became aware of a tiny "creature" buzzing by my head (just like a humming bird). It had wings and was flying on one spot, whilst feeding me what I can only describe as "nectar" into my mouth. What i strongly remember about this experience, to this day, is the feeling of Love and the "sweetness" of this nectar that was being gently poured into my mouth. I remember still tasting this wonderful "thing" even after fully waking up. This experience took me by surprise at the time as I had never been particularly drawn to the fairies till that time (though I believed in them)…sweet experience!..

What a beautiful encounter Francois! Well the kindhearted faerie are very sweet Beings– One of the things I most sensed with the faery I originally saw on that May 31, 2008 was that she had a sweet innocent nature about her- she was humble, sweet, innocent, yet had a royalty about her– she is a very beautiful Being I l have a special place in my heart for since then- and I even found out her name from a clairivoyant (BEFORE) I saw her. This Clairivoyant told me I would be seeing her a year before.

How that faery Being (and there are many kinds of these Beings from their Dimension) sounded when he/she was flying near your head reminds me of who I heard flying over my head last May 12th in the morning. May 12th is my birthday and I had invited the faery to come over and stay with me that previous evening- -because we were having unseasonably cold weather and I felt bad for them outside.
In my mind, I asked the faery that I had seen the year before to feel free to invite any of her friends as well.

That morning when I was almost awake, I heard a hummingbird-like sound hovering right over my head near the bed's heardboard. The sound actually woke me right up and when I sat up, I heard this hummingbird winged Being zoom away . I sat up in bed and there was noone there but I realized that the Fae had taken me up on my invitation for them to feel welcome from the cold. Plus, it was my birthday so I look at it as a birthday present from them :-)

Thanks for sharing your experience, Francois … God Bless that Fae for ministering to you like that- how beautiful :-)
hugs
Boldy

Hi Boldylocks,
Thanks for sharing your story…it is similar in nature to what I have experienced, hence it must be how they look like or want to appear to us (mortals!)…

Thanks so much
Francois

Here is an experience I found at the following link:

http://www.faenation.com/2006/…../#comments
lilylover on June 21, 2008 9:37 pm

"I haven’t always believed in fairies, but now I do, more than ever. One year ago my friend Luna and I were having a sleepover because it was national fairy day, we laid out jams, peanuts, milk, butter, etc. In the morning we both woke up to a brilliant smell of flowers and dew, when we went out side to see if the fairies had come we found tiny flowers sprinkled all across the ground, and when we went to check on all the food, each cup we laid them in was empty! Later that day Luna and I decided that we would go sing and dance for the fairies! As we were dancing Luna spotted what to her looked like a tiny person sitting on the ground watching us! A fairy! That was my first experience but not my last…

About 9 months after the sleepover my family and I were pre-paring to go on a trip to my grandparents house. Before we left I hurried and watered my garden (which had just started to bloom) and as I was running back to get in the car I spotted out of the corner of my eye something buzz by my face. Now I have seen many flying insects in my life but there was something about this one that made me stop. I turned to get a quick glance at what was there when I saw a deep purple figure floating by with wings of no insect I had ever seen, but what was most amazing to me was in that glance I saw the body of a human hiding shyly with in it’s wings. Within a flash whatever I had saw was gone and my mother was calling me. It was time to go, but I knew what I had just seen was a fairy. Ever since that day I have believed in fairies with all my heart, and if you just found this page by accident and are only reading this because you are just plain old bored, let me tell you something, when you believe in something with all your heart and all your might the whole world opens up for you and you have all of a sudden this endless amount of possibilities right there in front of you. Before I believed in fairies I was stuck in the dark, no place to turn but to more darkness, now all that has changed, now I am free and always have this wonderful, happy feeling in the pit of my stomach because I know what is out there waiting just around the corner and I am going to walk around that corner with magic and belief I am going to get through whatever obstacle comes before me. All this just because of fairies, I believe in fairies, now just take a risk, step through that door way and walk into light, so many before you have done it, now its your turn. I know it’s scary to believe in something that you don’t truly know is there, but try, you will find that it’s been there all along. Just walk with it, see where you end up."

Hi Kelley. Help me understand an experience I had. Between 1:30 and 2:00am, I heard noises coming from the living room. I went to check it out, and when I rounded the corner, light streamed through the window, which is odd because it’s always really dark in the backyard, even when the moon is full. The light wasn’t solid, and seemed to be in motion. There was a misty cloud, about one foot off the ground and about 5 to 8 feet high. It was colorful–pink, green, yellow–all blended together. Those colors streamed through the window. Within the mist were 6 to 8 balls of bright white/yellow light that moved together in a kind of circular, swirling motion. While I recall exactly the motion, I can’t put it into words. It was strange and beautiful, all wrapped into one. I was fascinated and not at all scared. I probably stood there for 4 or 5 minutes. I couldn’t take my eyes off it, and at the same time I couldn’t wrap my brain around what I thought it was. Finally, I walked away. When I went to see if it was still there, the backyard was dark. Later, I was angry with myself for not going outside and taking a closer look. It didn’t even occur to me to take pictures or videotape it. Hopefully there is a next time, so I can go out and see what it feels like. I’m sick of wondering about this. Do you have any thoughts about what I saw? A. Maria

Thanks for your note, A. Maria. I don’t have to ask your guides what you saw that night, because I know from your description and from the way its energy feels in your note what it was. You saw faeries, and I know because I’ve seen them, too. One experience was in an area known to host faeries, and another time occurred randomly, when I was a child. The mist you describe, the orbs, the colors and the elusive movement were familiar. As an adult, what I saw was very similar to the orbs and movement you describe, and I wrote about it in my Samhain series last year. A friend submitted his account of that same sighting on a website that chronicles faerie experiences. The siting when I was a child, I didn’t think of as faeries until I read your description of the circling, swirling light. All these years, I’ve wondered what I saw when I heard a noise and peered out the window of my grandparents’ home in South Carolina. I was about 7-8 years old, and saw what I could only describe as a carousel of light with lighted objects moving within the overall structure. Everyone else was asleep, and I remember sitting and watching it for what seemed like quite a long time. Eventually I went back to bed and it was gone in the morning. I don’t recall ever telling anyone about it. In my adult experience, I was as dumbfounded as you, not because I was a disbeliever but because no context I had suited what I saw. Even having fantasied about seeing such a thing and how I’d react, I just wasn’t prepared for how astounding and inexplicable it was. Apparently, we’re not alone.

Faerie Light

A lot of people see faeries, and it seems that while they can be “everywhere,” they frequently aren’t. I think that’s because faeries are Nature spirits, and humanity doesn’t do a great job, on the whole, of looking after Nature. They can’t thrive where land is toxic. I have never found a good resource on faerie energy. There are books on their mythos, most of which don’t feel remotely accurate to what I have felt and seen. Most documenters try to break them down into hierarchies and describe their various roles and strata of dwelling… Such books tend to romanticize and attach channeled meaning as fact, which is fine in its place. I’ve just never found a single resource that really captured that spirit–no pun. My best teacher has been working with the faeries, themselves, sort of holding that body of collected knowledge loosely alongside my own experiences. I can tell you that they are hardworking and primal, they interact with the life force of flowering life to keep it vital, and they carry precious insights into Nature that few humans experience.

With that in mind, that you saw them wasn’t accident, and you can see them again. When I connect with the light energy that you saw, my sense is that it wasn’t just faeries, the wee beings, but also the passage they move through between their native “dimension” (plug in the term that makes the most sense to you), and here. Those particular beings have not always been in the spot where you saw them. In fact, the buzz I get is that they are looking for a new place to “put their portal,” so to speak. I’m not sure what the criteria is for deciding that location, other than a tranquil area fiercely guarded by a human counterpart. Could that be you? That’s your decision to make. The place that I saw the faeries as an adult operates on such an agreement. The caretaker of that land is an elderly lady who agreed to keep the land safe and well-tended, in exchange for visits from the faeries and the ability to communicate with them. It’s a contract she takes very seriously, on literal and spiritual levels. She’s acted in this role for probably 15-20 years.

I highly encourage you to explore your own intentions and ego around such a responsibility, not just to the faeries but to the land they are investigating. Can you, in your deepest heart, offer them peaceful ground to live on? Can you look after that land and keep it pure and thriving? It’s a package deal. I would suggest a few things to consider in your decision process: be clear in yourself for your reasons for wanting to “host” them; practice writing out an intention you would present to them outlining your responsibilities to them and what you need from them (within reason) in return, then present this agreement to them; learn to sense energy in the atmosphere, as they are primarily beings without dense forms; study an animistic approach to communicating with Nature, specifically learning to navigate the Middle World. The last two suggestions are based in that if you were going to host an exchange student, you’d learn some facets of the person’s culture and language. It’s only fitting to have as much insight as possible into the faeries, should you decide to share your space with them. They already know about you and are hoping to have a confidante.
Best of luck, A Maria!

Give Faeries the Street Cred' they Deserve.

From earliest childhood I was brought up on faerie stories, something commonplace within my Celtic culture and heritage. In addition to these wonderfully vivid and evocative stories I also had psychic abilities and a powerful compulsion to paint the things I saw, something I continue to do to this day.

As a child you are not aware that 'seeing things' is anything out of the ordinary, and that hearing the voices of Faeries, Spirits, Guides et al is not something that each of us experiences.

That awareness comes with time and maturity. One learned eventually to keep quiet, it wasn't regarded as usual, nor 'normal' to tell someone that a faerie was sitting in the Rose bush behind your best friend's shoulder, or that a Spirit Guide had just appeared next to Great Aunt Margie and wanted to tell her something. So for me you see, faeries are REAL, I have always seen them, always believed in them. As a child I would sneak out of our home in the dead of night, I would sit in our garden, play and watch the faeries; I was enthralled. I have been ever since.

In the Irish village where my mother was born and where I lived for a time, talk of faeries abound. Young, old, and 'inbetweenies', male, female, all would talk of faeries. Boys and men are not smirked at should they recount a faerie encounter; they would not be considered less masculine, or be viewed as 'away with the faeries'. It is considered usual, normal, acceptable, and most importantly 'real'. Yet here in England the word 'faerie' may be used to describe someone in what is perceived as a negative way… as something less than… So strong is the belief in the realness of faeries that many places in Ireland have been given faerie names – rath – an ancient earth works held sacred by faeries.

<!– google_ad_client = "pub-6193843553852498"; google_ad_width = 120; google_ad_height = 600; google_ad_format = "120x600_as"; google_ad_type = "text_image"; //2007-08-17: faerie google_ad_channel = "5116525717"; google_color_border = "000000"; google_color_bg = "000000"; google_color_link = "FFFFCC"; google_color_text = "FFFF66"; google_color_url = "E6E6E6"; //–> google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad);On Rath Moor near my mother's old home no building work, no development will ever take place, the moors remain unspoiled by human hands, for it is said that if humans were to damage the moors they would be punished by the faeries with some strange affliction. To this day roads may be diverted so as to avoid a faerie ring, magical tree, or stones strewn around a faerie mound.

Faerie folklore however is not exclusive to the Irish, here in England the generic term for faeries is the Good People, and in Lincolnshire there are faeries known as Hookies. Indeed all around the globe belief in faeries prevails, amongst all aboriginal peoples, and from Russia to Stockholm, Bulgaria to Japan, and so it goes on… Yet despite this almost global network of faerie folklore, many of us remain sceptical and almost embarrassed should mention be made of anything remotely connected to faeries. We smirk, we giggle, and all too often I have heard children being told that they are 'too old' to believe in the 'make believe world of faeries'. But why is this??

Most of us have been brought up to believe in Angels, we believe they exist, we believe them to be real, kind, gentle, all knowing, all seeing. I have never heard a child being discouraged from talking about or believing in Angels. But time and again our dear faerie friends are banished to the realms of myth, fantasy, make believe and childish sentimentality.

So, I am here to implore you to open your hearts, your minds, your eyes, and to awaken yourself to the REAL WORLD OF THE FAERIES. Give faeries the 'street cred they deserve', and open the portal to a whole new world. A world of unconditional love, a profound and deep connection To Mother Earth, rhapsody and harmony. Remember, you are never too old to believe in faeries, and you are never too young…

BSSK offers wonderful Faerie Treasure Hunts, where the world of the faey and the world of humans can come together in the spirit of harmony. The stories were gifted to Vanya by the Faeries, so embrace the worlds of Narwhalia, and Lemuria, share in the magic.

The Faerie Throne of Enchantment can be found at The Faerie Lady's stand [next to the Creative Spirit Zone, near Magik Thread], here is a place where young and old alike can sit upon the enchanted faerie throne, head garland, faerie wand, and magical faerie dust await you. Add some sparkle to your day, encounter the magic and wonder of the Shining Realm, its fun, its free, its for you. Got a mobile phone with a camera, why not capture the magical moment on film, share the moment, and enjoy the wonders of the Faerie Realm.

If you have any faerie questions, the Faerie Lady is here to help, if she doesn't know the answers, the faeries will most assuredly help.

Sparkles, and magical faerie dust to you all.

FAIRY PLACES & STORIES
FAIRY STORIES – REAL FAIRY TALES FROM AROUND THE UK

… CONTINUED FROM PAGE 1

NORFOLK
Account by Aimee Kirby (Age 12)
In early 2001 I stayed with my Nan and Grandad. When I came home the next day my Mum and Dad said they had seen a red light, quite small. They had no idea what it was. They said they would they would take me out that night to see if it was there. We never went out until a few weeks later. It was about 10.00 when we first went out. I saw it, I didn't know what it was. Then the strangest thing happened, it spelt out my name A.I.M.E.E. From then on I worked out when it went up and down it meant YES, and when it went side to side it meant NO. We went out 3 times that night and saw it again. Sadly, I didn't see it again. I thought it had gone away, but it hadn't. In the Summer Holidays we went camping. On the first night it was our friend, Glen Balls' birthday. He didn't come round that night, but the next night we had a big barbeque and Glen was there. We had finished eating and were sitting around talking when I saw it . It came onto the barbeque cover and transformed into the shape of a fairy, then an eyeball, then HAPPY BIRTHDAY. We worked out eventually that it said the faeries wish Glen Ball Happy Birthday. Everybody saw it except Lisa, Lauren, Michael, Jon and Dad. Everybody started to go and I asked it to come on the van. It did! I went into my tent to get changed , it came in with me. I asked it questions, it answered them and then Iasked it, "Can you smile?" It said , "Yes!" and done this U. I said "Goodnight", it said "Goodnight" back! Unfortunately, I haven't seen it since, but I can tell you this was no animal, it was a FAIRY!

The above incident was submitted at:

http://www.fairylandtrust.org/…..

it reminds me very clearly of the flying red light I saw this past December 2009!

Dragon in Iowa
by Megan

My fiance Dennis and I live in a small town in Iowa called Burlington. About two years ago, we were driving in my car down a residential street in the wee hours of morning, coming up on 3 a.m. (I can't remember why we were out that early; I've forgotten.) The long residential road that we were on heads west to the outskirts of our town, opening up to an area were there is a few apartment complexes, retail stores, a shopping mall, and two very large car dealership lots. Past that are cornfields, woods, highways and an army base.

The army base is said to be very haunted. The biggest car lot is called Shottenkirk, and has so many tall, bright lights that you can see the glow from all the way across town. They run these lights all night long.

As we drove closer and closer to this little shopping area, I just happened to look up above the glaring bright Shottenkirk lights and saw something that I will never forget: It was brown in color, with a long body about 10 feet in length. The body was long and snake-like. It had bat-like wings somewhere between at least 15 to 20 feet across. The head was seahorse-like. It had a skinny tail flowing behind it.

I looked at Dennis and said. "Do you SEE that?!" and he said, "Yeah… oh, my god. What IS that?!" I actually stopped my car in the middle of the road (thankfully no one else was on it) and we just stared with our mouths hanging open. It seemed to kind of slither in midair, hovering above those tall lights above the car dealership, and it would occasionally beat its massive bat-like wings that sprouted out of its back.

Dennis then said, "It looks like… one of those Chinese dragons!!" And it did – it looked just like those mythical, serpent-like, slithery, winged Chinese dragons! It moved just like the ones you see in cartoons and drawings, slithering up and down in the air! We watched until it rose up higher into the sky, away from the illumination of the lights and out of our range of sight. It was incredible. We both swapped notes and separately drew pictures of what we had seen, then compared them – they are nearly identical. Call me crazy, but I think we saw a dragon! In Iowa!

A Chinese dragon…very cool!!

By the way Lisa, I'm not sure if you've run across this or not, but in the "Community -> Messageboard" section of http://www.forteantimes.com under the 'It Happened to Me' section, there are lots of stories about weird things that happen to people, and things they see that they can't explain…and the topic of faeries seems to crop up moderately often. If you haven't been there yet, you might like to check it out. :)

Below is a testimony of someone who saw a faery in meditation. She reminds me alot like the faery Being I saw 2 years ago– with the large tilted eyes and love reflecting from them. This faery is more blue/purplish- whereas the faery I saw was a light soft cocoa brown.

http://www.spiritualforums.com…..28123.html

well,

as the title states i saw a fairy in a meditaton.

everything was dark and for just a moment i saw, very close up, a fairy all shades of dark blue and purple. she was very close to me like we were looking at each other face to face. her face was sweet and pointy and she had a lovely look in her eyes and was smiling. her hair was long and dark but also had the blue purpleish tint.

i have a set of fairy cards and in fact i have just realised that i havent had a look if there is a fairy that resembles her lol!

i shall endeavor to check it out, but thought i would share it with you guys.

has anyone else had this kind of experience?

cheers

I saw a male elf once during meditation, pointed ears, great big smile, sparkle in his eye. He gave me a sense of great humor!

she had small sharp features, her skin had a blue tinge to it, her hair was long multi coloured with blues, purples and black. her eyes were large and slanted up her face. she had a very sweet smile on her face and her eyes spoke love and acceptance.

i am still in shock and almost don't believe myself.

that's really cool you saw that!

an old friend pointed it out to me in her home…asked me if i could see the purple speckles around her chandlier and i could….there was probably 50 or something…and she told me it is fairies.

a couple weeks later i saw my cat playing with purple speckles in my home and chasing them around having a lot of playful fun and i picked up on it to be fairies.

but this is a first that i've heard of someone seeing an actual fairy turning into a purple speckle!

i too have see a fairy outside my patio door doing a healing on one of my plants. we shocked eachother!
the fairy didn't see me at first so i got to see it at work… then it saw me… flew up above my plant and then gave me a frown (probably because i was smoking a cigarette… ) and then it flew away.

it's the only one i've seen with my eyes… but i have telepathic communication with many fairies and feel them around and where they are ect…

some make sounds for me. and the house i just moved out of is like a fairy ground.

i still from time to time see the purple speckles ect…. and on an occasion see my cat playing with something and chasing them to the window ect… Smile

Fairy Crashes into Window BY RAIN S.

By , About.com Guide

This happened when I started work at a social assistance office; it was probably about 3:00 in the afternoon. I was sitting at the front desk sorting out some papers for my supervisor who was out for the day.

As I sifted through the piles of documents, I glanced out the window that was near my desk. I didn't really notice anything unusual but when I turned my attention back to the papers, there was a loud thump on the window.

I got up, thinking that a bird smacked into the window. The thump sounded hard eough to knock it unconcious, so I went over to the window to have a peek. But what I saw wasn't a bird, the best way I could describe it was… a fairy.

It was humanoid in appearance, but having lavender colored skin and light blue hair with shimmering wings. It was lying still on the ground, the poor little thing knocked itself out cold.

I rushed outside to have a closer look (and to protect it from the stray dogs that sometimes wander around in the parking lot.)

When I got outside, I crouched down beside it. I was kind of cautious about touching it, so I poked at it lightly once or twice. When I made sure it was safe, I picked up the little creature (careful not to damage its wings) and cradled it in my hands.

About five minutes later, it began to stir from its unconcious state, my heart began to race, just realizing that I was holding something extraordinary. When it opened its eyes, I panicked for a second and almost dropped it. The fairy, or whatever it was, shook its head and flew off in the air.

But before it left, it looked back and me and waved. I waved back, still in shock about what I saw and had held. I am not crazy; I have two siblings, two loving parents; I have never done a drug in my life, and I have no family history of mental illness. I consider myself quite normal.

I still hope to see that little guy again someday.
