I haven't been doing much related to fairies lately, but I seem to be having a lot of weird experiences while I sleep. Not quite in my dreams but… Often times I wake up in the middle of sleep to "check up on" my surroundings. I'll open my eyes, look around, and pass out again. I've always done this for years and it's just something I do without thinking about it, multiple times per night. I sleep well mind you, but I just wake up a lot.
Anyway, lately I've been waking up and feeling like I'm surrounded by things. Most often I feel the pressure of something sitting on me. Usually my abdomen, sometimes one or both of my legs, or sometimes right next to me. Before I'm able to open my eyes completely to get a good look at whatever it is, I'll quickly feel the pressure move off and it's gone. It feels about the size of a cat. (Sometimes I joke that we have a cat ghost here, but I don't think it's that.)
The other night I remember feeling a particularly heavy something on my stomach. I had a weird dream that night that I can't remember right now and was feeling really out of sorts when I woke up for that brief moment. Not the usual kind of sleepy grogginess, but scrambled. I remember looking to my side and I felt like I saw a tall figure next to my bed which was gone in a blink. Then I felt more pressure beside me and tried to get a look and there was nothing. I think after a few moments I just passed out.
I'm not really sure if I'm just experiencing a weird sort of sleep paralysis or if it's actually happening. But usually I'm able to turn to my side and fall right back asleep without thinking much of it at all.
