No, I havnt had another encounter, but I discovered that a woman where I work had one when she was 8 years old. She is now in her 50's.
She told me how she and her husband are Wiccan. I'm a Christian who respects Wiccans tremendously and so felt free to ask her if she beleives in Faeries. She immediately said "YES- I saw one when I was 8 years old" Then – away from the other employees, I asked her when a good time would be for her to tell me of her experience.
She had two sightings– one of a Seeley Faery and one of an Unseeley faery- (or else a demon who was disguising itself as a male gnome-like being)
The first encounter she shared with me was when she was 8– playing in either a friends or relatives back yard with other kids (I'm not too clear on the details of whose yard it was) when she instinctively looked toward the rose bush there while the other kids were running around playing. She saw this woman faery- a few inches tall and she was resting on the rose bush. Her hair was pulled up off of her face in a bouffant style hair style, and she had a dress on. This woman faery was surprised that my co-worker was able to see her, and she then disseapeared- but my co-worker never forgot this. She even ran into the home to get her parents, grandparents, etc. out to see- but of course the faery remained invisible so they thought she was just imagining things.
Later — a few years ago or so, she was resting in a wooded area when she saw something peek at her from a rock or tree, etc.. and she said it was pure evil- I am thinking it could be one of many forms of demons, or else Unseeley that allowed themselves to become possessed by a demon. (No offense to any unseeley that are reading this -but you unseely have to be careful in shutting out the Creator and realize that you are much too good to be a part of the darkness )
Anyways, her testimonies really encouraged me- I dint think anyone at my workplace ever had any encounters with the faery or believed in them. I know she is probably the only one I was free to share my own encounter with- and I know she also feels alone –as not many share her beliefs. I told her that even though I'm a Christian, I think we Christians have so much we can learn from the Wiccans- especially appreciating the life in all Creation- and appreciating that everything has a soul.
After thinking about her encounter with the rose bush faery years ago, I recall a dream I had over a year ago- where there was this small white light that was flying from the ground and onto our own rose bush. I heard this Being say to me telepathically in my dream, "It is time" and then I woke up automatically right before the alarm clock .
Our one bird feeder is out near that rose bush, so this morning when filling up the bird feeder, I talked to any Faery that may be around there. After talking I suddenly felt this feeling of joy and it was so strong that I broke down in tears (of happiness) Someone invisible was definitely there- and I know it was the Faery. So folks, if you don't see them– it doesnt mean they arent there! Let's try to make things nice for them this Spring time- to make them feel at home
hugs
Lisa

I know what she means about feeling alone in her beliefs. Is she on Witchvox.com? There are personal listings on there and poetry/writing. It's really encouraging to look at all the stuff and realize that you are not alone. It would be awesome if instead of churches Wiccans had meeting houses. These places could really be nice. I envision places with big fireplaces, water fountains, Indoor plants, and skylights and windows. There can be all sorts of art and statues representing the God and Goddess. This is just what I dream of as a place where Wiccans can meet and make merry on holidays and such. Unfortunately dreams be dreams and making this a reality would be really difficult. One would have to get a lot of people on board and find a way to pay for the building.

I hope some lovely fay spirits feel at home here in my garden too.
I've planted sooooooo many new flowers, roses, daisies, lavender, peony's, strawberries, cherry, birch…lovelovelove!!! and veggies in my little garden this spring.
It brings me so much peace and hapinness thinking i'm bettering the world in a tiny little way…not to mention attracting fairies too.

Sounds so beautiful, anouk :-) The coolest thing happened to me this weekend.. the faerie were showing me how they are back this Spring. I had this urge to cut the grass in our front yard this weekend before my father got to it- because I wanted to save some flowers from being destroyed by his lawnmower. On the side of the house, I saw a beautiful bunch of "Johnny jump-up" violets that sprung up in a beautiful clump right near the Faery garden. It was like the Faery inspired me to get out and cut the grass so that I would see what they grew there. I got the little shovel and transplanted them safely along the side of the house facing the faery garden (the faery garden is over saturated with water right now due to heavy rains this Spring) I knew those flowers sprung up there mysteriously because of the Faery. That was the area that the apple tree had passed on– I think the Fae arranged for those flowers to spring up right in that area as a memorial for that tree. The flowers are safe now from any future lawnmower cuttings and still in the same general area.
Witchy Woman, I know how you guys feel to an extent too- because even as a Christian I can understand. I basically walk alone even as a Christian. — I am going to a spiritual retreat this Friday and Saturday , but even there, I won't be able to share my beliefs or experiences with many there as they aren't able to handle thinking outside of the box.
hugs!

Thanks for sharing. Although I don't think all unseelie are "evil". You don't know how they think because fae don't think like humans.

Good point but
This co-worker told me that the one peeking at her didnt say anything to her- but she sensed pure evil, and she isn't the judgemental type.. So it could even have been a demonic entity taking that form, as even demons can shape-shift.

That must be tough Lisa. Not as many people who believe in other religions have as much respect for the Wiccan beliefs. It's truely refreshing to see that you have opened your heart to the light side of our religion. If only all of us could be as enlighted then perhaps there would be more love and understanding in the world. One good thing to remember though is that Jesus himself was a outcast. He went in a direction of compassion and talked to the people on the outside of society as much as he did the people in society. He preached respect, love, and equality for the people around us. It's unfortunate that so many religions are misinterpreted to the point they become something completely different than their original ideas. I'm currently taking a class on religions and this seems to be major theme in the book we read for the class.

Thank you so much for sharing that story Lisa. It's hard thinking the way we do and being among those who think we are strange or crazy for believing the way we do. Hopefully next year, when the veil starts to come down, others will start to open their hearts and minds.
Namaste

My late pastor understood what you are saying– he's the one who taught me this: "the seeker after the Truth will see truth where others refuse to look" (he said this in so many words-not an exact quote)
I didnt understand this fully until I actually asked Jesus if He could please allow me to see a faerie- if they truly do exist. I took the first step in thinking outside of the "religious box" and didnt talk to anyone about this after I made that request.
One month later my prayer is answered – totally to my shock, and also it was confirmed 100% to me as well that (contrary to what many in the Christian faith falsely believe) that this Faery that the Lord allowed me to see face to face was definitley no demon in disguise- as I saw total UNSELFISH love and empathy in her eyes. Yes, there are the dark ones- as I'm sure all intelligent life out there can choose negativity and hate if they are not careful to keep growing spiritually- but there are more who are like Mr. E and the positive Faerie many of us have actually encountered.
Now I am going to my church's spiritual retreat this afternoon , but I feel led to keep my experience to myself- that the Lord knows that my experience may not be received at all by these people there– There's such a need to be patient because I know that all of these things tie in with the Creator's Kingdom and that His Kingdom is much more vaster and wider than we humans can imagine.— yet many of us in the Christian belief system have a hard time — and are too afraid to look outside of our dogma. We put words in God's mouth too and try to speak for Him to others. God never stopped speaking after the Bible was recorded- His Word goes beyond the Bible but reliigous people limit Him only to what is recorded in the Bible — which is a beautiful Book, but He has much more to show humans even beyond that!
Yes, eventually the viel will be lifted – probably starting 2012, but it won't happen over night , and probably will happen much more slowly in those who don't want it to lift for themselves. I think those who are more open-hearted will see the viel lift in themselves much more quickly and before others around them. Thankfully there will always be others who also are on the same spiritual wave length, so we are never ever truly alone in spirit :-)
