Something in my bed.

I think this started happening maybe a couple of months ago, but it has become so normal for me that I've grown into the habit of ignoring it. Every other night or so I start feeling like there is someone in my room, either laying next to me or off towards the edge of my bed. It is hard to describe, but there is a sort of pressure to it that you can tell from what direction it is coming from and if it is moving around.

What usually happens is that I first get the sense that something is around me before that general feeling moves over to the left side of my bed. After a minute or two I will start feeling a shiver or a maybe a numbness on my left shoulder before it feels like something is pressing up against my back. The shiver or the numb feeling, it isn't like feeling nothing, it feels like something is swirling around on that spot.

Sometimes it will feel like a finger is moving up and down my back or the feeling of numbness happens on my side and stomach. One time I woke up to my head being lifted up into the air and jerked around a bit before it stopped and I heard a metallic sounding voice say my name. That happened again the night of that last lunar eclipse. Before I woke up I the face of a woman(?) with light brown skin and bright green eyes. I jumped out of bed before my head started darting around again.

The last couple of nights I've started getting headaches in addition to the normal stuff. The headaches don't hurt, it just feels like my head gets really heavy all of the sudden.

Does this sound like a fae to anyone or maybe it is a ghost?

Hey Nickn,

Just a few questions about your experience…

Do you get an uncomfortable feeling when this is happening? When you saw the face of the woman, were you sort of waking up but still kind of groggy? Did you see the woman with your eyes open? Have you tried asking this presence what it wants?

Just trying to figure out what's going on…

I've never felt uncomfortable during it, save for when I get weirded out after I leave and start going over what happened in my head. Even during my head being moved around I never felt like anything was trying to hurt or scare me. I saw the face, I think, when I was still asleep. My eyes were closed and I could feel my head being lifted up as I saw it. I've asked it what it wants a couple of times but I've never heard an answer.

Right after I posted this, when I was getting ready for my Anthropology lecture, I heard male voice say a word. It sounded like Illodren or maybe Illadren.

A bit of an update. For the past couple of nights the headaches and most of the touching has stopped, save for that feeling on my shoulder. So whatever was doing it might have gotten the message that it was bothering me.

As to who was doing it, I think it might have been the faun. That seems like something a faun would do. But the name I heard makes me think of a repeating dream I had. In the dreams I would either be at a fair or outside of a stadium at night and a short, boyish looking girl would approach me and tell me that we were both lovers and apprenticed under someone whose name I can't really remember too well. That name and the name I heard share the same beginning sound of Ill or El.

Sounds like possibly the 'Ill/el' name you heard might be the same as 'Illodren/Illadren'. Your friend/fellow apprentice might be trying to get you to 'wake up', so to speak. It definitely sounds like something worth following up on if you can. Do you keep a dream journal?

(edit) I just re-read your first post. You say you get headaches that don't hurt, just that your head gets really heavy. Do you also experience a sense of 'pressure' in your head when this happens? At those times, do you feel in any way like part of you is trying to nod off, go to sleep, or drift into daydreams?

A dream journal? No I don't.
I do write down dreams when I feel like there was something noteworthy in them. But those recollections are usually scattered throughout my various notebooks. I'm not vary organized.

I feel pressure, yes. But no that has never happened other than the times that I was specifically trying to fall asleep.

My ability to sense a spirit is mostly through that touch. It doens't alarm me or bother me I've kinda gotten used to it and if I know who it is I'll talk to them or see if they want anything. It maybe that your sensitive in the same way.. Also I see them in dreams or sense that I've been with them when I wake up. Usually I'll know something I didn't know when I went to bed or feel like I've been talking all night or something. So usually what it is they'll initiate by touch then I'll see them in a dream. Sounds like thats what has happened with you. The dream appearance may change.
