strange childhood memories

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to mention a few incidents from my childhood, and see if anyone makes anything of them. The first is a very clear memory of looking out of my bedroom window one dark night, and seeing two small red lights slowly rise from near our garden pond and move across the garden, in an upwards motion. I vividly remember being convinced that they were fairies.

The second memory is odd… It is a memory of clearing out our garden pond, initially with my dad, but later just by myself when he'd gone inside. I can clearly remember being very stunned and shocked by something I found in the mud of the bottom of the pond. I can clearly remember feeling that it was something undoubtedly supernatural, and I can clearly remember that I dropped it back into the pond in fright. The weird thing is that I can't remember what it was that I found; no matter how hard I try, the memory just goes hazy. Could there have been some sort of fairy protection/ enchantment, that stopped me from being able to remember what I'd seen afterwards?

Two stories that could easily be explained away, but I've always felt that there was something weird about them. What does everyone think?

Well…..Have you moved away from the house you were living in then? Or are you still there? Because if you are still there you could try looking for whatever it was, it may not be there any more or you could even be remembering an alternate reality, if you believe in them.I'd probably shield myself if I was looking for it, just in case…

Hmmm, the first one I definetly think could be fae. Almost every fairy encounter has to do with light or orbs of some sort.

As for the second, I think that one sounds mysterious too. I dont know a ton on fairy enchantment but it sounds like something they could do. Why you cant remember such a special memory is beyond me, and it only makes sense that it had some sort of protection on it!

blue lady,   welcome to Real Fairies!

I think the red lights you saw were a type of Faery Being –   I've seen the same small red light flying up and over all of the cars on a road I was driving on– and it headed over to some trees.  This was in December last year.

I knew it was a faery Being of some kind–  THe light is it's energy.      I also think that you probably werent supposed to see what was in the pond- so there was a sort of mind erasing done by them– as a protection for them from humans.   That's very interesting!

The memory of what that is still is in your subconscious. If you can recreate the senario and walk through it, it might surface. Also if you do some trance work and recreate the senario while your in trance it mgiht come back.

It is likely that something else happened to you that you don't remember, like it may have caused a jump to the otherworld. If that's the case then memory recall becomes a problem. …. It's an issue I constantly struggle with the astral memory doens't reintigrate well with the conscious mind. I wake up knowning I have had converstations. I remember what the instructions were but I don't remember the conversations or being in the otherworld. One of the suggested fix's for this is dream logging… which helps as long as you keep at it.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the interesting feedback.

Yes, I do still live in the same house. The pond is quite overgrown and murky now though – we don't keep fish any more, and I doubt anything could be living in there. My dad will probably clean it out next year, so I could help him then, and see if I find anything. The pond is in a corner of the garden surrounded by apple trees. I used to play there all the time when I was a child, but I hardly ever go over there these days… Maybe I could leave some sort of offering over there? Didn't country people use to leave out milk and cake for the fairies in bygone times? I'm not entirely sure what I'm trying to achieve though…

Sairahiniel, please could you expand on what you meant by remembering an alternate reality? It sounds an interesting idea, and isn't one that I'd considered before.

I'm sure that the red lights I saw did have something to do with fairies, and am glad to hear of your similar experience Lisa.
