OKay I am convinced that Pixies are taking my stuff.

First it was my sketch book and my drawing supplies. Then one of my books came up missing. These are things that I have NEVER lost and always have on my dresser or in my room.

Did I look for the lost items? Yes, EVERYWHERE!! Few..I have been looking for them for the longest time. Darn Pixies!Surprised

Maybe they want your attention. The best way of getting it back is asking them politely, and if not, try trading them something, such as sea shells, flowers, stones, honey, cookies..etc

Wow that ipod thing is really odd. They put it right in the middle of your bed too. Now that's making a statement of "I'm here! Stop spending so much time with your technology! Remember us fae and nature!". At least that's what I get out of it.

Hehe, iPodfairy. I feel your pain, thats happened to me before. In fact I'm pretty sure there's some trickster in my house that makes quite a game of stealing my things. His favorite item of mine seems to be my chaptstick, it's like he's stockpiling it. I have yet to get my last one (and a few other ones) back yet and it's been a few weeks since it disappeared.

I have had my glasses taken off my dresser very early in the morning before church camp and went outside to water my plants and asked them to give it back because it's very early, I'm tired and have to leave in a bit.

Found it at the foot of my dresser where I already looked. There's no logical way for my glasses to fall off my dresser during the night because I always put them towards the back on top.

My sister also got her ring taken from my kitchen island and when I found it 2 days later it was in my backyard. Crazy huh? She thinks my brother took it to tick her off and I haven't had the courage to tell her what it really was.

I agree with Dakota's suggestion on a trade. That's what fae do in the fae realm, trade, sell, bargin. As long as it's shiny and colorful they'll give up what ever they have for it.

That's what I'm getting out of that too :-)     Especially that they put it in the MIDDLE of your bed to really get your undivided attention!

DakotaRisingMoon, I just have to share this with you. While reading this thread, I really feel the fae's presence very strongly here with me–  it's a very happy , loving presence with me .

While finishing reading everyone's posts , I noticed your owl photo at the bottom of your post.     I just made a comment out loud how beautiful that owl is and said something like, "Isnt that owl adorable!" and as soon as I said that,  this was the response the Faery spoke in my heart right back: "Sweetness!"    I like the way they said that !

Seems that the Faery , here,  are reading this thread along with us and those with me right now are also getting my attention.   Right before reading this thread my glass of water just tipped over unexplainably on my desk, so I have to get some paper towels right now- but  I still feel this joyful presence with me–   and I think they really do spunky things like this to first get our attention!

Wow..that's amazing. I actually put the picture of the owl there because one thread — about a picture of an owl , plus an owl at a place I volunteer at both reminded me of their beauty.

I think one time the same has happened to me, while reading some threads, I felt a presence as well, although this was long ago.

Probably just a mourning dove, as they make similar sounds. Owls can be awake in the afternoon sometimes as well.

Here is the symbolism of an owl :

(The mourning dove can also fit the symbolism of the dove, which is peace..etc)

Owls are amazing birds. When I was 10 my parents found one on the edge of the woods. The owl had a broken wing, we kept it for the night. The next morning my parents call the DNR, they came and picked it up. The owl was beautiful, for the most part it trusted us.

My parent have a owl that lives back behind their house in the woods, you can hear it hoot after sun down. They also have a Whippoorwill that comes back every year. LOL! My dad is a heavy sleeper but when that Whippoorwill comes back he can't sleep because it's so load. hahaha! My parents live in the country next to a state forest, so they get lots of cool stuff…including lots of doves.
