The song is a Norweigen folk song and is translated by  Johannes Gårdbäck from Sweden.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…..eUKR8vZbrs

Tiril liril lili Haugen (sacred stone formation, mountain or gravemound) mine, it plays so lightly through the tree groove" Thats the refrain. The story is that the girl Venelite meets the King of the Haug (a Mountain Troll or rather – an ancestor or Elfking) and he tells her to come with him into the mountain. They then walk three times counterclockwise around the Haug, it opens and they go in. He treats her with a feast, but will never ever let her go back home again.

Haug =Fairymound

The scenery and music on this video are amazing.

Ohhhh, I watched something on TV about Sweden and the fae… they believe in them really strong, and I think… either 1/5 or 3/4 (i'm really not sure, but something like that, lol) of people there believe in them, and they even stopped in the middle of making a road, in fear of making them angry…

I don't think you want to do that. You may want to look at the English translation it's actually kinda creepy. The part he didn't translate was that the king took her under the mountain gave her a drink which made her forget everything which essentially amounted to a curse to be a prisioner rest but never find peace. LOL I didn't find that til this morning and I was like yikes.!!!1

I'm not so sure about Sweden with it being so cosmopolitan lately, but 80% of Icelanders believe in elves and other "huldufólk" or hidden people. What you probably heard is when builders in Iceland changed a road from being two lanes to one and built around a certain boulder rather then moving it because it was thought to be inhabited by elves.

Well, when they were looking for the Banshee in Ireland, they did catch a small shadow- that shouldn't have beenthere… it was live, so viewers pointed it all out lol
And about the elves… they were in the mountains… LOTS of people seen them physically… and they talked to a few people about that. And they kept hearing stuff…

their camera got knocked over randomly, too, and knocked out I think…

it has been awhile since i seen t, but I think that they got it working again haha

Yea the Destination truth thing was a little interesting. The problem is they're not from Iceland so they don't know the normal animals and such that go around there or if there were any people following them. Thats one of the problems with going into an unfamiliar area to do an investigation like that. You also tend to get worked up and spooked easily and it becomes contangious. However, there seem to be a lot of manifestations there of Elves and Hulda and I think it would be worth looking into more closely. But it would require an extended trip and probably the bulk of it away from  civilization. I wish somone would do a decent research project there.

If you want your writing to be published make sure you gear your education towards that. It's very difficult to get in with publishers nowdays if your new.  Most people that write for publishers have a masters degree in English or something along those lines.

Better start learning icelandic too. It's a very difficult language for an English speaker to learn.

That would be great if you were able to do some good research Saranel. You will want to take some composition calsses at the college/university level. You should also look into some Anthropology and folklore coursework. Your research will need to be a combination of accepted anthropological methods with metaphysical methods. It won't get mainstream acceptance because of the limitations of the attitudes, beliefs, methods of science. Their methods are helpful and reliable in their way for physical things but we are talking about another dimension.

You will need to become spiritually adept. You will want to practice yoga and meditation. You should study up on Hinduism. Check out Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda for a start. The book is available at amazon.com and at some public libraries. If you become advanced enough spiritually you will be able to see fairies. It's hard work and takes time, I can't see them as yet.

I would not try channeling though, it can be very dangerous. Susan and Nathalie have been doing this for a long time and probably have done a lot to protect themselves.

Good luck to you, you seem like a very kind person with a good heart and pure intentions.

Thanks so much! I've also recently gotten another idea…
I love acting, and photography, modeling, etc, and I have a lot of connections in media, famous people, etc
and I was thinking that if I was able to build up a rep… then I could start making faery gardens places, too… : )

Really good way to first get noticed…
Just an Idea, that I will DEFFINITELY look into, and most likely do in the coming years :D

And, I know I can do t… so : )

A little word about danger. There is no safe way to interact with the spirit. You have to leave the fear in the closet if your going to work with this stuff. Things will happen it's the nature of how this  is and you cannot always see whats going to happen. The otherworld is highly subjective in nature and that causes unpredictability. We feel afraid sometimes of things that are not a threat and no fear in the gravest danger. I don't do channeling because it requires two people and I work solitary pretty much. It's not any safer or more dangerous than any other interaction.
