Right, so for the last few days i've been inviting fae into my home and leaving out offerings of fruit or cake.

Then today at about 11am I went into my parents room to pet my cat and I noticed that the lid of one of my mums wooden boxes was off but it was on earlier. So I asked my family if they had taken it off, they hadn't.

Then at about 1pm I was going to go out and practice taking some photos when I saw this lilac light float near my face then over to my dad, then it disappeared! I asked my dad if he saw thet, he didn't.

 

Was this an encounter?

 

And if it is what should I do?

 

Also what type of fae was this?

It probably was a fae. I'm not sure what kind you would have to go and look on the types of fairies page. Just thank them for showing themselves to you and keep your invitation open. keep leaving treats and make your room more fae friendly and such.

I will need to go clean my room out and check for too much iron. I'll thank them and keep leaving offerings out.

I'm sure it was some form of fae! They often tend to take the form of balls of light. Also, it's quite possible they wanted to thank you for the treats you left out for them.
