The Harbinger

Finished this piece a night ago, right before I saw the awesome Norway
Spiral video, which is now being called a misfired Russian rocket.

I’m getting into the idea of omens, weird signs in the sky, heralding
approaching events. The harbinger of this piece being a star or light
formation over a burnt landscape, in the shape of the Mourning Star I
painted a few months back. The Mourning Star is an astral body that
follows no particular course of orbit but has traveled throughout space
since before the Earth was formed. The Harbinger could signal the coming
of the Mourning Star, who’s eventual appearance will lead to unknown
astrological occurrences, possibly leading to the End of Days.
