Happy Birthday and Fae Day, Mr. E!!!     Just so you know-    on your birthday, that turtle I posted about yesterday that I saw lay her eggs along the side of the road near that pond I visit just finished laying her eggs this afternoon.  It took her almost 24 hours as she layed alot of turtle eggs :-)

I went back after work to check her out, and all the watermelon and lettuce I left was gone, and she was still there, only she was facing the other direction heading back to the pond again.   The eggs were all nicely covered up with more gravel.       Later I went back, and she was  back in the pond ;-)      Her little turtle tykes will be hatching safely and will have an easy path back to the pond eventually.     I'll be keeping an eye on that area.    Thankfully, our State department road crew won't be doing any road maintenance with their tar and oil until later this Summer, so the little ones will have a chance to hatch safely :-)        Mr., E, I just figured you'd be proud to know that while Nature is going through travail and sufferings right now–  there are little blessings here and there for the innocent wildlife— and on your birthday too :-)

Happy Fae Day Everyone!  I will read your wonderful birthday messages to Mr E myself and I know that he will be very touched by all of your warm wishes–thank you so much! I'm sure he will want to thank you himself too.

Susan, Mr E and I were hoping to do something special for his birthday and Fae Day but that will have to wait a little bit.  Susan was taken ill on Thursday and was hospitalized for a few days while the doctors checked her out ran tests, etc. The great news is that they couldn't find anything seriously wrong with her so she should be feeling better soon. 

Mr E told me today that he would like to celebrate his birthday with a chocolate cake this weekend when Susan is feeling better! I'm pretty sure he is with his friends and brother tonight, dancing, drinking a bit of ale and basically just having good time.
