I found this website online that's a breeder for wolf hybrids, but that's not what upsets me. He posted on his blog a news report on CNN that talks about Sarah Palins support of arial wolf slaughter in 2009. My spirit animal is a wolf and I love her to death, and I've loved wolves for as long as I could remember. Their dying and becoming extinct because of the media. I HATE THE MEDIA AND HOLLYWOOD!!!! They misinterpret everything. They give bad reputations and twist the truth, like Lucifer in the bible. They make pagan religions look bad because they use witchcraft, but they don't talk about how paganism is a nature based religion. They even used the angle of pagans being devil worshipers, when THEY DON'T EVEN BELIEVE IN HIM!!!!! It's the same with wolves. They play the part of the big bad wolf when they don't show how family oriented they are, how they are terrified of humans, how there's only 52 mexican grey wolves IN THE WILD!!!!   I hate how badly wolves are being treated because of their need to survive. That's like puting away a little girl for fighting a grown man in self defense. *sighs* Sorry I had to blow off some steam. The wolf is a magnificant, beautiful creature that is the combination of nature itself. We as human beings ruined them because of our fear of beings stronger, faster, and more powerful. I hope one day be it when the veil lifts or the 2nd coming of Jesus or whatever you believe is the great change, all those who lied and twisted and tortured, and killed for no reason or for fun, pleasure, and sport will be put to shame for their actions. But what can we do now? They'll live in denial until the day they die, and we on here who think and observe on a higher consciousness then others, who are aware of the spirit of the earth and here childeren will be able to live like we were ment to, live in peace and harmony with all animals, no fear no power struggle, just love.

I do agree that the Media twists stuff a lot, and that they should try telling the positive side, but all they want is money.

The wolf is a quite beautiful animal as well, and just because it is your power animal, doesn't mean you have to only care about it ( I am not saying that you are). Most people have never heard of the dhole, which is another canine on it's verge to extinction. The gharial , a crocadilian along with the vaquita, a type of porpoise are also unheard endangered animals. It's sad how people only pay attention to certain animals, as they are all equal.

Also, notice that extinction is a part of life. I am currently reading a good book about extinction. The book is " Endangered : on the brink of extinction by George C. McGavin"

Here is a part of the book :

"To many people,' extinction ' is an entirely negative world. But extinction is a natural process, and it has been occuring ever since life began. Paradoxically, it has helped to create the rich diversity of species alive today. Charles Darwin was the first person to explain how the evolution and extinction of species are inextricably linked."

So, as the book explains, extinction is natural. But humans have been causing it for selfish reasons as well. The giant panda is in fact going to extinct , not because of humans, but for some reason it is not reproducing , and since it adapted to eating bamboo, the least nutricious food, it is in danger.

Hi Faecat!

I'm back. I sent you a PM. I'm so sorry that I haven't been around. I had a really bad several weeks.

I know what you mean about Sarah Palin. I can't stand that woman.

Hunting in that way is disgusting and there is no sport in it.

Wolves have been persecuted for a long time. It is so sad. But complain about it and the hunters jump down your throat.

Anyway, I agree with you and I just wanted to register my support for you and send you hugs.

I sent you a Pm back. I'm sorry I ranted about it, but wolves are very important to me not just because my spirit animal is a wolf (answering your question Dakota) but they are the true combination of nature itself. They aren't the big bad wolf. They're just scared of us.

I have been watching Dog Whisperer on Nat Geo wild and I understand WAY more about canines than I did.

Hi sweetie,

It's so good to talk with you again! I saw that you replied to my message but for some reason the system shows me someone else's message when I click to read yours. I have tried several times but it keeps happening.

Hugs!

I like wolves too. They are quite different from dogs though. Have you ever seen the man they call the Wolf Man on tv? I think he lives in Sctoland where he has his own wolf pack at his home that he uses to study wolf behavior to help wild wolves.

Yes, you really should check out the "Wolf Man", he's really fascinating. He's tough too, those wolves he has aren't sweet, friendly doggies at all.

My computer isn't on the fritz, it's just a continuing problem that I seem to have with the PM function on this site only. I don't know why. Has anyone else had problems viewing PMs here?

Yeah, it's important to remember that they are wild. Most people think that they would be so friendly, cause they are "like dogs", but they aren't.

For some reason though, hurt wild animals, or wild animals raised a child seem a bit calmer, but they can still be aggressive. It's probably because they are vulnerable and allow humans to help them, resulting to them liking humans.

Yeah, isn't it amazing how tough, dangerous predators stay in an extended baby mode when raised by humans?

They are still very dangerous though, I know, and should never be kept as pets.

I have spent time with wolf hybrids and they are different in temperament from dogs, their psychology and nature are completely unique. They are not good candidates for pets either. I really enjoyed being with them but they can and will bite. I think it's really wrong to breed wolf hybrids.

Let wolves just be the beautiful wild animals that nature made them.
