Hi everyone. I's sorry I've been gone for the past several weeks. I was very ill. Above is the link to my review of 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark'

Fans of film maker Guillermo del Toro will remember he has featured fey in his movies 'Hellboy II: The Golden Army' and academy award winning masterpiece 'Pan's Labyrinth'. He features dark fairies in his latest film.

That was a very interesting column! You always hear of the good fae but never the bad in hollywood.

A nice twist!

I also saw the Great Lakes Festivel artical that I missed and was so amused! How great for people to do that! It seemed like the perfect place for fae, watching and commenting on the costumes! Did you see any fae there?

Hi Faecat!

Yes, I thought it was interesting to see a different take on fae in 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark'. You are so right, Hollywood tends to take the pretty side of fairies. True Blood took a rather dark approach to fairies this season though.

It really is a magical place, lots of dragon flies. I always take that as a good sign. I am not able to see fae but it feels like the hang out there. It's the perfect spot.
