Theory: The Fae are in the government

Note: Faeries may not actually run parts of any world government. All I am proposing is an alternative view of our modern life and times.

The idea that faeries control the environmental aspects of the government may sound absurd, but it's also logical if you really think about it. The main reason I thought of this theory just now is because we now have strong evidence to prove that global warming is not caused by humans (at least not entirely). You see every 26 million years the galactic center of the milkyway fires our energy waves that hit every single solar system in the galaxy. The thinnest and outermost ring of this wave is going through our galaxy as we speak. As these waves hit all of the stars and the planets, the planets heat up. The sun right now is in it's low activity season, yet it is as active as it should be in it's high activity season. Mars is also heating up, and late last year they saw snow on mars, and a few years before that they saw clouds, both of which were never seen on mars before, and if you remember, just a few years a go they found ice reserves on mars. Well, what happened was those ice reserves started to melt, and that's how you get the clouds, and in turn, the snow. The only problem is, there's no SUVs or Greenhouse gases on mars, and no air pollution. All of the planets are heating up. Neptune has also been getting hotter since 1980, and Neptune is the furthest planet from our sun. This all proves that nobody is to blame for global warming (that includes us), and it also suggests that nothing that we are doing to help the planet will actually reverse or stop global warming. This also proves that the planets are heating up, and there's nothing we can do to stop it. This doesn't mean we're going to die though.

Now for why I think that the faery are in the govt. It's because while they know that we aren't the cause of global warming, they still know that recycling and what-not will help us save resources and help restore the planet. If you really think about it, the government knows that we are not the cause of global warming, but doesn't really have anything to gain from the "green movement". The only beings I've ever heard of that would have anything to gain from the restoration of forests, and natural areas are animals and faeries. Now, don't get me wrong, we all know that we all can benefit from nature, but just really think about it for a second.

well it does make sense–     Alot of those who work for Environmental concerns, could be incarnated faery and they don't realize it yet.     Cool

Hmm…I have thought about it, and I think you must have posted this as a challenge to make people think about all the fluff floating around on the Internet.

First of all, while I'm willing to be persuaded that there are additional influences at work besides humanity's carelessness, what you've proposed is akin to saying, "Oh well, we don't *really* have to do anything because we didn't cause any of this mess." Sorry, but there's plenty of scientific evidence at this point to show that carbon emissions do cause climate change, and the massive amounts of deforestation taking place in the rain forests of the Amazon and the tundra of the north are depriving Earth's atmosphere of the largest generators of oxygen on the planet. You can't tell me that isn't having some kind of measurable effect on the atmosphere; not to mention the holes in the ozone layer caused by fluorocarbons, the giant islands of plastic garbage in the oceans that are being eaten by animals, never mind causing toxic oil spills and all kinds of other things that destroy the environment without resorting to heat . Whatever may be going on in the cosmos, this is not the time to absolve humanity of its responsibility to clean up its own messes and to stop making more, because doing that will only encourage the cycle of irresponsibility to continue. And if I'm not mistaken, Mr. E and all the other fae that have been contacting Humans through channellers have been seriously stressing the point that recycling and conservation of the environment isn't just  a good idea, it's critical.

Also, which government are you talking about? Earth doesn't have a united government at this point in time, and the various country governments are anything but unified in their attitudes towards the environment. Some are trying to enforce stronger protocols against pollution (parts of Europe, sometimes the US), while others largely ignore the environment in favour of trying to catch up to First World countries in terms of technology and their economy (ex. China). Also, governments just aren't monolithic structures, like giant Gods handing down Commandments on clay tablets or something. Governments are organic bodies made up of teems of people, and operate under a collective intelligence. (If you can call it that. Some would argue that "government intelligence" is an oxymoron.) It's possible that some incarnated fae might have made it into positions in government, but they would only have as much influence as their position allowed them. Someone like the King of Saudi Arabia has a lot of power over his country's policies, but someone in, say, a Senate Committee on Climate Change has rather less.

As for who has anything to gain from Nature? Well, animals do, of course…and hey, look! Humans seem to be a variety of animal!  It's simply amazing how that works. Cool

So in summary…sir, I call Shenanigans! Laugh

Yes I'm being a bit sarcastic.  Most of what needs to be done enviornmentally needs to be done by individuals. The idea of buying land around watersheds in particular stops all shinanigins right at the source. You cannot do a thing to land you don't own the title to. Now some governments are more intrusive than others when it comes to regulations and what you can do. Most of the western countries do not do much in the way of regulation. If your trying to interfere with property a lumber company owns title to your trying to break an iron door with your bare hands.

The problem here? People have difficulty living within their means to save money to do something like that. It means work and hard work at that.  It might mean going to school to get a job that pays enough to provide the means to block those who would destroy this world. It might mean working overtime or in a job that sucks but pays good. I'm not sure,  but I don't think there is an age limit to owning property.  Even a small plot that wouldn't cost more than a few hundred dollars would be better than nothing a garden could be planted there to beautify and improve the soil absorb pollutants ect.

The only country in the world that I've seen that allows the otherworld inhabitants to own property on the topside is Iceland. Until that is changed the other nations on both sides of the veil depend on us as individuals to do our part. Next how many of us are actually involved in the political process?  Means getting invovled in a political party and making sure our friends voices are heard   Money talks in this world if you financially support a candidate they're more likely to show an interest in your cause.

@Athidal:

Oh well, certainly. Carbon emissions do cause climate change, and obviously we need to preserve the envirnment in order to survive, but to say that global warming is caused entirely by humans is beyond disingenuous on the part of Al Gore. The fact of the matter is that while preserving the environment will make things go more smoothly, the planet will keep heating up regardless. Even if we all still had primal technology and lived in small hunter-gatherer villages, the earth would still heat up just as it is now.

When I say government I do mean the US government, although, many of the countries that have been accepted into the UN do have some kind of green effort (not saying that the country follows these procedures, because in reality many don't), but the idea is still out there.

Yes, animals have plenty to gain from nature. Yes we are also animals. But just look around you and see how many people actually care. When you drive to work or school look to the person in the car next to you every time you stop and almost every single person at every traffic light does not care about the environment, or does not see the threat as immediate.

I agree with that totally.

Any that do have sincere concern for the environment (which , now that I think of it,  doesnt seem to be anyone from the government branches)   would possibly be incarnated elves or Fae.

Wheels within wheels as dreams within dreams. Beings who view humans as pawns on a chessboard must have an opponent. You can't play chess with one person. It's all incredibly complex, as is all existence. Shades of grey.
