You definately need some counceling and I definately do think you have some gender identity issues. Wishing you were a girl isn't a bad thing in the least and you should be honest with your parents. It's better than living a lie. It would be good to talk to a health teacher about this or a school social worker. They can definately help you and hopefully after talking to someone else you can gain the courage to tell your parents. I can't say that I have felt the way you do. Gender identity is different than my situation. I'm not sure whether I am bisexual or straight. I honestly don't label myself but I can see myself having a relationship with a guy or a girl. I believe that there is male and female energy associated with beings. All of us have a balance of male and female characteristics and should not just ourselves based on society. Each of us have a unique energy and to deny that energy is deny life, love, and creation. Acceptance is important but unfortunately our society likes putting things in boxes. Our minds like to label things with words but really the best lessons are learned without words. Form is an illusion and there is so much more to everything than meets the eye.

I think you're not gonna get anywhere if you keep hiding. It's not about just releasing it here, but also out there, where the real problem exist.

I know it hurts when parents are like that, they want you to be something you are not and would not listen. But that is the exact reason why you must stick your neck out there and constantly show them that you are not what they think and want you to be.

They can choose things for you such as what you can wear and what you can eat, but they can't change who you are and they got to know that. It's totally your choice. We can write piles of advise for you and none of it would matter unless you decide to take action. There are a lot of help out there, don't think you have to take this all alone.

Now wait just one cotton-picking moment! (hahhaha, sorry, I REALLY like that expression)

Zach, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? If you are under 18, you need to think this through. Though you might not like hiding who you are (and shouldn't have to), don't forget that if you are under 18, you ARE in the care of your parents, and you should NEVER do ANYTHING that could possibly put you in a dangerous situation. Don't forget that you are young, and you are discovering new things. I'm not discounting your identity, and I'm sure things may make a lot more sense now that you're thinking in this new light, but you need to realize that you are young and could make misjudgements and mistakes. Just, think it through before you do anything. It may be tough, but maybe it's better to figure these things out when you're not under the harmful influence of your parents. I'm not telling you to do anything but THINK before you act. Don't be impulsive. And if you do plan on telling them regardless, at least make a plan of what you're going to say beforehand, m'kay?

I feel the exact same.. Because I was raised with 3 sisters, and my dad ever hardly talks, I kinda have more feminine energy. So I constantly think whether or not I'm straight. People ask me everyday if I'm straight. I wish I could just be normal -.-

Normality is an illusion. People think there is a standard when it comes to humans or any other being. There isn't. Everyone is different and we should embrace that. In fact we should be in awe of this. Some many people and beings in the universe but not one exactly alike. This makes for an interesting existance. People who are afraid of differences are unable to escape from judement of themselves and others based on what they dream of the world to be. If everyone totally accept each other for who they are at present then the world would know peace. Unfortunately its everyones job to remind each other how to do this. We need to remind each other how to love unconditionally.
