Around the time my brothers were toddlers, Nick Jr. had a variety of shows no one still know exist (and they had actual plots, not like Blue's Clues or Dora :p )
I'm referring to a show called "Papa Beaver's Storytime" I remember each episode had a couple or three fairy-tales or other such stories like it.
I keep remembering this one story, that, try as I might, I cannot find what this particular story is called. I do remember it started with this little girl who had some kind of argument with her mother and wanted to "teach her a lesson", so she went to see a witch. The witch gave her a "lollipop" (although to me it looked like an oversized soft-serve cone) and told her NOT to eat it. Along the way to her house several animals lick the lollipop and suffer the side-effects of the spell:
A horse grows an alicorn (unicorn's horn)
A couple of frogs become part donkey
A bunch of kittens grow wings and fly away
After the lollipop was gone, all she had was the cone, and went home contemplating what if she did give her mother the lollipop, and she would change too like the animals did. When she gets home, she hides the now-empty cone behind her as her mother asks where she's been, and when she tells her to show what she's hiding, the cone now becomes a bouquet of flowers, wich she gives her.
Does anyone have any idea what story this is, or if this is a variation on any known fairy tale? I would appreciate the help, 'cause Google and Wikipedia are no help at all for this…
