Just wanted to say hi. I'm new here and came across the site when looking for more info about fairies after a sudden random urge. I was always really fascinated by this stuff when I was younger (remember dragging my mom to the book store to look at pop-up fairy books) and I'm thrilled to realize that they exist. I have a few questions right off the bat-

I'm going to be following some of the tips on here like printing out some of the symbols and taping them to my window. I will also try to construct a fairy house, but would it be better to keep it on the balcony or in my bedroom? It's really cold and rainy outside, the trees/plants lost most of their leaves, etc. while inside we have about 10 plants (3 of them being large tree type plants. My grandma really loves gardening and we never have an empty house), although my room doesn't have any plants (I could change that though lol). Also, does anybody in Ontario have any experience with seeing fairies? I know I will have to be patient.

And I'm looking for any book/article recommendations. I have read some of the articles on here and they definitely helped me understand some stuff, but there is still some things I am confused about and I really would like to read more into this. Some of things that I am particularly interested are their dimension/world and the "portal" between their world and ours (I heard it was thinner on Halloween), their history, the other creatures (elves, etc.) and in a nutshell, just more about them and their world. I'm going to the library soon so I hope to sign out some interesting books.

Thanks in advance :))))

Hi MeoMeu, Welcome to Real Faeries!

Yes, the Fae are in Ontario and all over Canada as well as in the US , UK, and everywhere for that matter. Each area has Faery or Pixie Tribes that focus on that particular area. I read Ted Andrews book about the Faery realm over a year ago, and he had a distinct experience with the Faery in Ontario years ago- when he visited Algonquin Provincial Park. I used to visit Algonquin Park yearly as a child- we went camping there and stopped going on any vacation whatsover after 9/11/2001's when the government required a Canadian passport. At that time I used to go, no passport was needed and gas was much much cheaper.

I always felt a peaceful presence in Algonquin, so I totally believe there are fairykind of all sorts in those wild areas . Canada has alot of wildland still left intact, thank God- so most of the Faery that love the wild areas are enjoying your Country and province!

Even in the suburban areas, there are certain Fae that though , as with all Faery, love Nature, they also enjoy traveling and co-mingling in human areas, visiting homes of humans they like, and enjoying our computers and television shows and other fun recreations, etc. They are flexible and don't areas where mankind lives– but they especially love a little of nature and a nice home with a pretty garden and houseplants as well.

You can place a faery cottage with the houseplants inside your home, and add a sign on your balcony for them– saying something like, "Good Faeries Welcome!" with the Faery protection sign near it.

I reccomend going to the local craftstore and getting a blank unfinished wooden plaque of some shape. Paint that on it with acrylic paint or a Sharpie waterproof marker pen.

When you go to the balcony, place it in an area that any would see and announce out loud that those Faery who love the Creator are always welcome to visit or stay and that your home is open for them. I would also pray for protection from any negative entities that may overhear and feel that gives them license to enter as well. You only want those types of Beings that work for the Light- not the dark side, or at least who mean humans no harm.

Ask Arch Angel Michael to be your "bouncer" and direct all negative ones away but that maybe he may be able to send the message to the kind hearted ones that they are always welcome with you.

Faeries will not need to live in your cottage- but they are touched when humans make them out of sincerety as it shows a sign to them that you have an open heart and an open home. :-) Some may also may rest in them from time to time if they are the small ones-

Thanks :)

I'll definitely try to get a wooden plaque. I have a craft store opening up near me soon so I'll see if they have any. I'm looking into getting some plants for my room, but I'm a bit concerned with the fact that there is a chance my bed has iron in it.

Sadly, my library doesn't really have any fairy books. There is a ton of childrens fiction books, though. I ended up finding three books that looked promising. They're mostly folktales, but I thought I'd read them anyways. Also,

I recently had a very interesting class on energies and auras and am also looking into meditation. Is there different kinds of meditation/a specific kind I should do?

I heard that iron in small amounts isnt a big deal for them- a house has iron nails, but the fact that they are covered by other materials seems to make it tolerable. Probably it's just the iron that is right in thier face– like railroad tracks right in the middle of Nature. I'm sure you're not going to find the Fae around railroad tracks.. Everything about the industrial Age really wasnt such a good thing in many ways)

Houseplants are good for a room to begin with- as they help cleanse the air and create more oxygen to breathe . People should even bring houseplants into their offices and school dorms as well- you'd be doing your health a big favor.

I'm not very good at meditation- How I even had my first encounter with a real Seeley Fae was by actually praying to God and asking Him to allow me to meet one on His timing- IF they actually exist. It was the shock of my life when He actually answered that prayer about 1 month later.
