Hello – I am an author and an artist from the UK and have been fascinated and inspired by fairy art and literature for many years. My new fairy-tale, Pray for Fey, was recently published and information is available at Amazon or Barnes & Noble for anyone who would like to know a bit more.
My favourite book of fairy art has got to be Fairies in Victorian Art by Christopher Wood, which has some of the most beautiful pictures you've ever seen of fairies by artists such as John Anster Fitzgerald, Edward Robert Hughes, Henry Fuseli, Sir Joseph Noel Paton etc.
What a positive and inspirational forum Real Fairies is – a wealth of information for anyone fascinated by fairylore and a genuine and friendly online community dedicated to sharing and archiving fairy knowledge and experience!

Welcome Farenglade and thank you for your lovely comments about RF, we really appreciate it!
I haven't been able to read/see the book you mentioned but I would love to. I did find a wonderful book in the sale section of Borders (when it was still around) called Angels and Fairies by Ian Zaczek which includes works by the artists you mentioned in your post and I agree, they are beautiful works!

Dear Natalie – thank you so much for your welcome!
I have just visited amazon.com and typed in the book's title and it is still available – but I almost had a heart attack when I saw the price that one seller was advertising the book for $306.78!
Fortunately, there are additional sellers selling the same book in brand new condition for a lot less, from $72.00. bookconsignmentsllc is probably the best one – and the order is fulfilled by amazon. I bought my copy in the UK years ago and it cost a lot less than it is advertsied for now, but it is certainly a book of superb paintings.
My kindest regards,

Dear LunaSea and Lisa,
Thank you both for your kind words about my book and for showing an interest. There is, at this moment, a book giveaway promotional offer on Pray for Fey, which ends on 7th October, at Goodreads, so if you are both members, it might be worth checking it out and entering. 25 lucky winners, chosen by the team at goodreads, will win a free copy of the novel.
LunaSea – yes, the picture book of Victorian fairy paintings is beautiful. The image of the Anster-Fitzgerald painting you added above is a really good example of that type of work, and he is my favorite fairy artist. I am glad you liked it. Art has always played an important part in cultures worldwide for thousands of years, especially when it comes to creating and producing new works of beauty for the world to enjoy. People love art because, through the imagination and vision of the artist, they can experience a glimpse of a little part of the realms which most people never sense or experience on a day-to-day basis.
